Did Dr. Drew Say Hillary Clinton Has Brain Damage? Read Clinton’s Real Medical Records And Full Transcripts

Dr. Drew Pinsky is concerned about Hillary Clinton’s brain, treatment, and general health. But did he say the Democratic nominee suffers brain damage? Dr. Drew was asked whether it was fair for the public to look at photos and videos and try to diagnose Clinton with medical conditions. He responded and also made several statements that have added fuel to the controversy. Some might argue that Dr. Drew’s comments lent credence to many of the conspiracy theories that suggest Clinton is in poor health.

There are numerous conspiracy theories that Hillary Clinton is sick and ailing and has suffered permanent brain damage from a 2012 fall and blood clot. Many believe the condition rendered her unfit for public office. Armchair doctors have diagnosed Clinton with seizures, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease. Others say that she appears too weak to stand and needs a stool for all of her speaking engagements. Some have looked at photos and videos of Hillary Clinton tripping, falling, and seemingly needing assistance to climb steps and stairs as proof of her illness. Is Clinton too weak to walk on her own? Is she suffering seizures on stage? Did Dr. Drew confirm the conspiracy theories?

Dr. Drew specifically referred to Clinton’s medical records that were released on July 28, 2015. Based on those reports, Pinsky felt that Clinton is not getting proper health treatment. Tuesday’s comments on the radio show aren’t the first time he voiced his concerns. Pinsky took issue with her medical care and treatment back in January on his HLN program. Adding fuel to the conspiracy theory fire are comments by Pinsky that Hillary Clinton needed special glasses as a result of brain damage. The conspiracy theories grew deeper as photos of Hillary wearing glasses surfaced online as proof that Clinton suffers brain damage.

Clinton supporters shared photos of Clinton wearing glasses in her college years and said there was nothing unusual about her thick glasses.

On January 19, Dr. Drew addressed Hillary Clinton’s released medical records on his HLN show. The topic came up due to a Breitbart report that Clinton was having issues as a result of brain damage. Pinsky spoke as a medical doctor and stated his opinion based upon the released medical report. His comments in January were similar to the ones made on Tuesday. Pinsky began by saying there was something definitely wrong with Clinton’s medical situation and treatment. He questioned the medications she took and described them as unusual. “She developed a very rare condition called a Transverse Sinus Thrombosis, which is associated with a little stroke, where the blood — It is not the usual blood clot under the brain at all. It is the veins that drain the cerebrospinal fluid. So, she had two clots in her leg, one clot in her brain — why? Why is this woman clotting like this. They put her on a medication called Coumadin, which is a great medicine —

“Blood thinner, old fashioned. Not something I would put her on if she had that condition. It has to be monitored all the time. It is a higher risk for bleeding than in newer medication. Who is giving her Coumadin? On top that of that, she has an under active thyroid, common.

“But, she is being treated with armor thyroid, which is something I have not seen used since like the `70s.”

The August interview echoes much of what Pinsky stated in January. He took issue with the medications Clinton is being treated with and pointed out she is not taking modern medications. He stated he was gravely concerned about her health care. In both interviews, Pinsky expressed his worry that Hillary Clinton’s health is in jeopardy due to the current level of medical care she’s receiving.

“But the fact is she released her medical records some time ago, and if you listened to my show last week, I just called a friend of mine, Dr. Robert Huizenga, who’s an excellent internist pulmonologist, and we just dispassionately sat and evaluated the medical record that she had released. And based on the information that she has provided and her doctors have provided, we were gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care.”

Dr. Drew described the basic facts they surmised from the medical report. He stated that her treatment was bizarre.

“What’s wrong with her coagulation system? Has that been evaluated? And oh, by the way, Armour Thyroid associated rarely with hypercoagulability. So the very medicine the doctors are using may be causing this problem, and they’re using an old-fashioned medicine to treat it. What is going on with her health care? It’s bizarre. I got to tell you. Maybe they have reasons, but at a distance, it looks bizarre.”

It was after these comments that Dr. Drew referred to Hillary Clinton suffering brain damage.

“When she hit her head, she had to wear these prism glasses when she came out. That is brain damage, and it’s affecting her balance. Now clearly, it hasn’t affected her cognition, but tell us a little more about that. That’s profound.

“And then number two, when they screened her for heart disease, again, they did an old-fashioned screen. It just seems like she’s getting care from somebody that she met in Arkansas when she was a kid, and you’ve got to wonder. You’ve got to wonder. It’s not so much that her health is a grave concern. It’s that the care she’s getting could make it a concern.”

Pinsky didn’t reserve all the critique for Hillary Clinton. He also spoke about Donald Trump and suggested he might have hypomania.
