Katie Maloney And Tom Schwartz Married: Katie Breaks Her Silence After Saying ‘I Do’

Katie Maloney has talked about getting that ring on her finger and getting married to Tom Schwartz since the two started filming Vanderpump Rules about five years ago. Tom was always very hesitant in getting married because he always wanted to make sure that he had enough money in his account. He constantly had excuses as to why he didn’t feel ready to propose to Katie. She eventually gave him an ultimatum about when he should propose and told him he had six months. The ultimatum didn’t hold, as she stayed with him after he didn’t propose after six months, but she eventually got her ring. And this week, the two got married.

According to a new Bravo report, Katie Maloney and Tom got married yesterday, Wednesday, August 17th, in Northern California. Many of their Vanderpump Rules co-stars were invited to the nuptials. Some of their co-stars were not invited, as Lala Kent was busy posting videos of her getting ready for a photoshoot. James Kennedy was hiking in California. After saying her “I do” to Tom, Maloney took some time to describe her feelings to The Daily Dish.

“I’m so happy to have married my best friend and love that I finally get to call Tom my husband,” Katie Maloney revealed to the Daily Dish, adding, “Celebrating with our closest friends and family has been nothing short of an amazing experience.”

Over the past couple of weeks, Katie Maloney has shared some details about her wedding, including what the wedding would look like, when she found her wedding dress, learned about her brooch bouquet and what Maloney and Schwartz would be doing for their first dance. Since they filmed the wedding for Vanderpump Rules, it is possible that their friends can’t share much from the wedding due to contractual agreements with Bravo. Before their wedding, they got some helpful advice from Lisa Vanderpump.

“If I had to give any advice to a young couple getting married, I think it would be, you know, it’s such a pressure trying to organize all the kind of parts that are going to make up a wedding,” Lisa Vanderpump revealed about her advice to Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz before getting married, according to Bravo. She added, “But, I think, you’ve got to really remember the most important thing is why you’re doing this in the first place and that you’re doing it because you love each other and not to lose sight of that. Almost think of it like a big party celebrating your love and you’re wearing a long white dress, that’s it.”

The two got married just 13 months after Tom asked Katie to marry her. The proposal was filmed for Vanderpump Rules while they were hanging out with friends. And as Katie remembers, it wasn’t exactly the best day.

“It’s funny because, obviously, I didn’t know it was coming, and I was in an awful mood [and] was kind of snapping at him. And he was not paying attention to me,” Katie has revealed about the proposal, according to Bravo, adding that she was completely shocked when it actually happened.

According to People, Schwartz gave Maloney a 2-karat pear-shaped champagne diamond in 14-karat rose gold engagement ring. When he was picking out the ring, he was very nervous. He knew exactly what Maloney wanted, but he was scared of the commitment. He eventually got over his fears, and the two are now married.
