Taylor Swift Revives Hiddleswift Romance On-Air, Donates $1 Million To Charity
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are back to their jet-setting lifestyle. On Sunday, Taylor’s private jet picked up Tom at Hollywood Burbank Airport in order to fly him to her Rhode Island mansion and spend the weekend with her and her parents, according to Us Weekly. The last time the Thor: Ragnarok actor met Taylor’s parents was on Thursday, June 24 in Nashville.
How time flies. It seems only yesterday that Hiddleswift unfolded before the world’s prying eyes. It’s a term that refers to the Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift romance, which has been going on since June 14. Aside from Hiddleswift, some people also refer to the relationship as Swoki and Swiddleton. The existence of so many terms to refer to the same love team only demonstrates its worldwide popularity.

Anyway, it is now August 18. This means that Swiddleton or however you want to refer to it, is more than two months old. For Tom Hiddleston to be spending the weekend with Taylor Swift and her parents is certainly one of the best indicators that the relationship remains strong and healthy. That is, despite Tom’s busy schedule with shooting the latest Thor film.
Every popular media organization covered Tom being picked up by Taylor’s luxury plane over the weekend in order to transport him efficiently to Rhode Island and then back to Los Angeles by Tuesday. Obviously, the media are so hungry for Swoki news. After all, the couple have not been seen together for a few weeks.
The official explanation is that Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift are both busy doing their own thing. However, there seems to be a media blackout on what Taylor Swift has been up to in all this time. Tom is clearly busy with shooting, and People for one touched on that. But what exactly is Taylor Swift up to?
She’s not doing any concerts like her BFF Selena Gomez, and she is definitely not working on any film project either. So the only conclusion that could be made is that Taylor Swift has been busy doing the non-celebrity stuff like just taking her sweet time. She could be spending more time with her friends, her cat, her family, and herself.
Taylor Swift was seen hooting on social media for the U.S. gymnastics team at the 2016 Rio Olympics. But who knows, she could be busy composing more music, although somebody from the media would have already reported that if that were the case.
Taylor Swift also has not participated in this week’s explosive Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber (i.e. Jelena) wars or visibly taken sides. This is yet another media blackhole. Remember the heat of the joint Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West exposé, otherwise known as Kimye, on July 17, which was covered by Pop Crush among many other media outlets?
At that time, Selena visibly backed up Taylor Swift. But no backing from Taylor in the searing Jelena Wars? Maybe Tayswift just wants Justin and Selena to sort out their own thing. Or perhaps, she just doesn’t want to throw more fuel into the fire.

Anyway, Taylor Swift’s soft heart still emerges this week as she donates $1 million to the Lousiana flood which according to Jezebel, “has displaced at least 20,000 people and left 11 dead…wrecking at least 60,000 homes.”
Lousiana has a special place in Taylor Swift’s heart. She says: “We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home.”
The Huffington Post cites Taylor’s impressive record in donating to charities, commending the singer’s latest act which is her biggest contribution ever. Bless Taylor Swift’s soul. She obviously knows what to prioritize. It’s too bad that some people want her to die.
