Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani made a sweet escape to his ranch in Oklahoma after some of his old homophobic tweets resurfaced. During his break from being on the road, Blake proved that he wasn’t letting the backlash to his scandalous social media posts get him down by having a blast with Gwen and her This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour backup dancers. He even gave one of Gwen’s male backup dancers multiples kisses during a trip down to the river.
As Entertainment Tonight Canada reports, the @MusicFactsTea facts Twitter page recently dug up some of Blake’s old attempts at Twitter comedy and shared screenshots of some of the offensive jokes. Many of Blake Shelton’s tweets mocked gay men, and it’s safe to say that the “Came Here to Forget” singer would love for the internet to simply forget them.
“Grown men who wear Chuck Taylor’s may as well write on their forehead ‘Cucumbers turn me on!!!…’” one tweet read.
He also asked his gay followers, “Are skittles y’all’s favorite candy?”
Most of the tweets are all from 2010 and 2011, and it appears that Blake has deleted them.

It’s been half a decade since Blake Shelton shared the controversial tweets with his fans, and he has drastically changed his social media habits since then. Now he spends a lot of time playfully interacting with his followers and cracking self-deprecating jokes about his weight and the mullet that he used to rock. On Tuesday, Blake proved that he’s a sweeter, more responsible tweeter by responding to a Gwen Stefani’s fan’s tweet that included a throwback photo of his mullet. The “Sangria” singer made a lighthearted quip about Gwen needing glasses.
@blakeshelton little did you know, back then, you’d end up with HER ??? @blakeshelton pic.twitter.com/82a9wiigmu

Having his Twitter past dredged up obviously didn’t scare Blake Shelton away from social media, but he did recently decide to take a break from checking his Twitter timeline to have a good time. On Monday, Blake invited girlfriend Gwen Stefani and her entire This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour road crew to hang out with him at his ranch in Oklahoma. The group was on their way to Las Vegas after performing in Austin, so they were in the neighborhood.
One of Gwen’s backup dancers, Jason Facey, shared an Instagram video of their wild adventure, which included getting to see some of the exotic wildlife on Blake’s 10 Pistols Ranch and racing his ATVs. However, the craziest moment in the video comes when Blake showers his new friend with kisses while Jason is thanking the country singer for his hospitality.
As you can see, Blake was feeling very affectionate during Gwen’s visit. He also put dancer Pete Styles in a headlock so that he could give him a sloppy kiss on the the forehead.
As People reports, Gwen Stefani also recorded a ton of Snapchat photos and videos of her crew’s time at Blake’s place, which prompted her cowboy beau to rename his sprawling property “Snapchat Ranch.”
Blake whipped up some cheese dip for his guests while they drank, played pool, and made friends with his dog Betty. Gwen’s kids — 10-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma, and 2-year-old Apollo — also had a blast playing basketball and going exploring with the adults.
Last December, a source told People that Gwen Stefani’s sons absolutely “adore” Blake Shelton. He also loves spending time with the boys.
“Blake loves kids and has been having a lot of fun when he spends time with Gwen’s kids.”
One of Gwen’s Snapchats shows proof of Blake’s growing bond with baby Apollo. Blake gets the tot to say “Yee-haw!” in the adorable video.
