Kendall Jenner’s Vogue Cover Interview: KUWTK Star Answers 73 Questions
Kendall Jenner covers Vogue‘s September issue, an accomplishment that models across the nation strive for. Along with the cover, the 20-year-old also did a video interview with the fashion magazine, in which she answers 73 questions, ranging from her favorite sister to the craziest thing she’s ever read about herself online.
For nearly eight minutes, Kendall strolls through the Kardashian family house, where she admits she doesn’t spend much time anymore. She’s now a highly sought after model in her own right, over 18, and makes enough money to maintain a $1.4 million condo, so that isn’t surprising.
There are probably few things that Kendall Jenner’s hardcore fans don’t know about her, but Vogue gave their best shot at trying to uncover some innocent secrets about the model and her famous family.
Below are just some of the facts revealed in the rapid-fire Q&A session.
- Her favorite movie is The Notebook, but Marley & Me is the one that made her cry the hardest.
- Kendall and best friend Gigi Hadid consider themselves sisters in more ways than one; Gigi’s stepdad is Kendall’s half-brother’s former stepdad.
- Her current favorite sister is Khloé, although she doesn’t explain why.
- Kendall thinks Kylie is the funniest sister of the group because she’s so sarcastic.
- The craziest thing she’s ever read about herself online is that she was pregnant with Justin Bieber’s baby.
Vogue‘s Jonathan Van Meter also did an in-depth interview with Kendall for the cover story as they drove around L.A. in her vintage Corvette, as the Inquisitr previously reported.
Interestingly, the cover story notes that Kendall’s intention from the very beginning was to craft a career that mostly veered from the Kardashian family and their reputation of being “famous for being famous.”
She notes that she’s always been different from Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, and Kylie. Whereas they love dressing up and being at the center, Kendall prefers the more laid-back moments in her life, away from the fame and paparazzi.
“I’ve always been super different from all my sisters, especially my Kardashian sisters. They’ve always been into the glam thing and dressing up every day and being in the thick of it. Part of me loves that, but at the same time, I love dressing down and having my private life.”
Every day, I have to find a way to escape; I have to go borrow someone else’s car. Sometimes it takes me an hour to figure out how to get rid of these guys who have been following me all day. And the second that I feel it getting the better of me, I have to go chill myself out—go take a bath or something to, like, disconnect from it. It keeps you real and sane and humble.”
Kourtney Kardashian’s recent interview with YOU magazine, as the Inquisitr previously reported, shows that Kendall’s older sister has a similar mindset. The moments the 37-year-old values most are those spent in solitude with her children.
At first, Kendall admits, she didn’t think anyone in the fashion world would take her seriously. As older sister, Kim Kardashian West also told Van Meter, no one in that industry respects reality shows. Kendall Jenner, of course, first came to people’s attention as the 11-year-old younger sister on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The fashion world no longer holds that doubt about Kendall Jenner, though. In fact, she’s earned a reputation for being punctual and a pleasure to work with, according to designers and photographers alike.
Her style and celebrity have earned her a whopping 63.5 million Instagram followers, which features images from her various photo shoots, as well as some glimpses of life with family and friends.
Thanks to a leap of faith on designer Marc Jacobs’ part, Kendall’s determination has paid off over the last two years.
