Tamar Braxton and Adrienne Bailon have reportedly been close friends ever since the two grew close on the set of the daytime talk show The Real in 2013, but now it looks like the duo’s friendship has turned into a pretty nasty feud.
Fans were quick to point out that Braxton stayed radio silent regarding Bailon’s recent engagement to Israel Houghton on social media, appearing to confirm that the once close co-stars are no longer friends despite Braxton previously publicly defending the couple’s relationship.
After Bailon confirmed and defended her relationship with Houghton, who was separated from his wife of 22 years at the time, Tamar publicly supported her close friend as they sat alongside each other on The Real earlier this year.
“You don’t have to explain your life to anybody. I love you, I know you,” Tamar told Adrienneon The Realback in April according to M Stars. “I know Israel, I love Israel. I know he’s a great guy, and a great dad, and you guys don’t have to explain your relationship to anybody.”
“You guys know what you have, it’s something special, something magical,” Braxton continued to Bailon. “You’re a wonderful woman. It’s hard out here to try to find love child so get your life.”
Tamar’s social media silence following her friend’s big milestone comes just days after Braxton slammed Bailon and her fellow former co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley on Twitter, accusing her seemingly former friends of only attending her son’s third birthday party in June to “save their a***s.”
BET reported that Tamar seriously laid into her former The Real co-hosts through a slew of now deleted tweets after a fan asked about Adrienne and Tamera attending her son Logan’s recent birthday party amid the feud reports.
“Baby, they came took [pics] and left,” Braxton said of Bailon and Mowry-Housley, according to screenshots obtained by the Shade Room . “You’ve heard of let me save my a** right?”
Tamar’s scathing accusations came just weeks after Adrienne took to Instagram to post a photo of herself and her now-fiancé Israel Houghton at Logan’s third birthday party, claiming that she “loves” Braxton and her son.
“Happy Birthday Logan,” Adrienne captioned her June 5 Instagram photo, even referring to Tamar as her “family” in the snap’s caption.
“Titi A Loves you! [Tamar] always an epic fiesta! Love you to the moon & back! #HappyBirthdayLogan #Familia #PeppaPig,” Bailon captioned the photo.
The latest feud rumors come just months after Bailon publicly supported Tamar following her The Real firing, taking to Instagram to post a black and white shot of herself and Tamar together on Instagram , where she gushed over Braxton in the caption.
“My SISTER Forever,” Bailon said of Braxton. “The greatest thing that has come from being on the real is that I have found my best friend. My vault. My comedian & therapist. I love you. Always & Forever.”
Adrienne was also quick to squash the feud rumors that circulated herself and Tamar following Braxton’s The Real firing, slamming fans who claimed that the singer had unfollowed her in the wake of the daytime talk show drama in the photo’s comments.
“You’re an idiot,” Bailon replied to a fan who asked why Braxton no longer followed her on Instagram according to the Shade Room . “[Tamar] absolutely follows me. NEVER unfollowed me,” continued Adrienne. “People are so dumb it’s honestly soooo sad.”
Adrienne also gushed over Tamar on The Real prior to their alleged feud, describing Braxton as being her “best friend” during a recent taping earlier this year and even telling the reality star that she was “thankful” for her and her friendship.
It was just weeks later that the feud rumors began to swirl again, after which Braxton made it pretty clear where she and Bailon now stand after unfollowing Adrienne on social media and confirming a feud.
“So Tamar finally unfollowed Adrienne on Instagram,” Twitter user @MyNameIsRee_ confirmed on July 5.
