Adrienne Bailon’s Engagement Ring: Details On Her 8-Carat $750,000 Ring From Israel Houghton
Adrienne Bailon revealed to the world that she is engaged to Israel Houghton last week, and now the details are emerging about her stunning estimated eight carat, six figure engagement ring.
Adrienne showed off her flawless diamond ring in a video posted to Instagram on August 12, giving the world a glimpse at her new jewelry sparkling by the lights of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, where Israel popped the question.
“You. Me. Oui,” Bailon captioned the video.
There have been conflicting reports about the size and cost of Bailon’s stunning ring, though the gorgeous engagement jewelry is estimated to weigh anything between five and eight carats and could actually be worth between $100,000 and $750,000.
E! News spoke to two jewelry experts about Bailon’s ring, who both agreed that the stunning piece set Houghton back six figures.
Jewelry and style expert Lauren McCawley told the site that the engagement ring could be worth an eye watering $750,000, describing Adrienne’s ring as a “colorless 8-carat Emerald Cut Diamond embraced by a halo of French-Pave set diamonds set in Platinum.”
However, jewelry designer Jason Arasheben put the ring’s worth at closer to $300,000 but noted that Israel chose a “cool, simple design” for his bride-to-be.
Celebrity jeweler Layna Friedman also spoke out about Bailon’s huge engagement ring to Hollywood Life, speculating that Adrienne’s ring was actually between five and six carats, but confirmed the piece is worth at least $100,000.
“It appears to be a 5-6 carat radiant cut ring, accented with French cut pave diamonds,” Friedman told Hollywood Life of Bailon’s ring from Houghton. “Her fiancé, Israel, most likely spent $100,000 plus on this ring.”
“The ring is very fitting for Adrienne,” the jeweller continued, “who is such a gorgeous and talented woman.”
Israel Houghton gave fans a better look at the huge engagement ring her presented to Adrienne Bailon on his official Instagram page on August 12, where he gushed over his soon-to-be wife with a sweet message.
“I have seen and felt the essence of God’s grace through the life, the kindness and the courage of this woman,” Houghton wrote in part.
“I’ve taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time,” continued Israel. “She has graciously granted my request… She said yes. Thanks Be To God. Thank you @adriennebailon for graciously loving me.”
E! News also confirmed Israel and Adrienne’s big engagement news, revealing that the couple had actually been friends for years before they started dating earlier this year.
“[Adrienne and Israel] have known each other for a very long time,” a source revealed. “They worked on a project together a very long time ago and never lost touch.”
The Bailon insider also admitted to the site that her relationship with Houghton, and their subsequent engagement, “just felt meant to be” before adding that Israel “treats [Adrienne] so well.”
Adrienne’s fans were quick to take to social media gush over Bailon’s huge engagement ring, joking about the size of the estimated $100,000 plus rock.
“Israel got Adrienne a HUGE ring. Gorgeous,” @ImJustJanee tweeted out and Twitter user @goldchampagne_ wrote on the social media site of Bailon’s engagement ring, “Umm woah!!! Adrienne’s ring is sickkkkkk.”
“Can we talk about Adrienne’s ring though?! YES GIRL!!!!” @Thedailyspeshyl added.
This will mark Bailon’s first marriage, though she was previously engaged to music executive Lenny Santiago, who she split with in 2015.
Houghton was previously married to Meleasa Houghton for 22 years, with whom he has four children, before the couple divorced earlier this year.
