Unemployed Chad Johnson Drops $300K On A Car
Not long ago Chad Johnson was one of the NFL’s top paid wide receivers and most marketable personalities, now he’s unemployed and unsponsored but apparently, still plenty rich.
While Johnson recently finalized his divorce with Evelyn Lozada, he’s apparently still in great need of attention, purchasing the eye-catching, attention-getting, fast-driving Lamborghini Aventador, and posting the photos (one seen above) on Instagram.
The Lamborghini Aventador, unveiled in 2011, sells for about $379,700 in the US and goes from zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds. Thisis50.com reports it has a top speed of 217 miles per hour. Chad Johnson’s new toy gets to 60 MPH faster than his career has fallen off.
Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins during this preseason after he was arrested for a domestic incident with his wife in which he allegedly headbutted her. He then lost his reality show as well and doesn’t appear to be gathering much interest from other NFL teams.
Shutdown Corner reports the unemployed wide receiver formerly known as Ochocinco posted the photos with the captions “Just grab the new Lamborghini Aventador,” and “Loving my new toy.”
Though Chad Johnson doesn’t appear to be on the verge of signing with a new team, he can at least take solace in the fact that, traveling at top speed, he could make it from Miami to as far as Seattle in less than 16 hours in his new Lamborghini Aventador.
A Former New England Patriot, Chad Johnson has 766 receptions for more than 11,000 yards in his career, the bulk of that production happening while he played for Cincinnati from 2001-2010.
