Blake Shelton Planning To Propose To Gwen Stefani On ‘The Voice’ Season 11 Premiere?
The new season of The Voice is only a month away and Blake Shelton is on the verge of proposing to Gwen Stefani.
Will Shelton pop the big question during NBC’s hit show?
An inside source revealed to Radar Online that producers want Shelton to get engaged on The Voice and even offered him a substantial bonus.
“Executives are really pushing for an on-air engagement!” the insider shared. “They told them both last season that there would be a huge bonus for them if they agreed to get engaged on the show and, of course, the offer still stands.”
Shelton is returning as a coach next season but Stefani is sitting another year out.
Christina Aguilera replaced Stefani as a coach last season, though the “Hollaback Girl” managed to get some air time as Shelton’s mentor.
Shelton and Stefani have avoided engagement rumors for a couple of months.
“Blake told his bosses that he does not want to come back to work because he is just having way too much fun with Gwen while she is on tour right now,” the insider explained.
Shelton has even started lobbying for Stefani’s return to The Voice in Season 12.
“He is already asking them to bring her back for Season 12 and Season 11 hasn’t even started yet!”
Shelton and Stefani have yet to confirm the engagement rumors, but they have taken steps to prepare for the ceremony.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the couple has hired a well-known wedding planner that has experience planning celebrity weddings.
Is this an indication that a proposal is on the horizon?
The Voice stars asked Jerri Woolworth to plan their extravagant wedding. Woolworth is based out of Tennessee and New York and has done events for major sports leagues and award ceremonies.
For now, it isn’t clear if Blake Shelton will pop the big question on The Voice or do it in private.
Asking Stefani to marry him on The Voice makes sense. After all, their friendship started on the set of the hit singing competition and blossomed into a full-on romance in front of the cameras.
Of course, nothing official has been confirmed, though it seems like only a matter of time before the pair gets hitched.
In regards to the rumors about Stefani’s pregnancy, the couple might be looking to expand their family faster than originally thought.
Apparently, the No Doubt frontwoman wants to purchase a new home that is equipped with a nurse.
“Stefani is going to do whatever it takes to have a baby with Blake,” a source explained to Hollywood Life.
“She’s not waiting until after the wedding. She’s been working with a fertility specialist for months, and it would be a dream come true for her and Blake if this turns into a shotgun wedding. They’ve been looking for their dream home and have specified that they want room for a nursery. Having a baby is their top priority!”
With Stefani nearing the end of her summer tour, she will definitely have time for another baby in the house.
That being said, there has been little hard evidence that Shelton and Stefani are planning a wedding, let alone having a baby together.
According to Gossip Cop, the rumors of a coming engagement are not true.
Instead of coming nuptials, Shelton is gearing up for his own music tour this fall and the pair is taking things one step at a time.
