Sheborah Thomas, a 30-year-old mother from Houston, casually revealed that she drowned both of her children in a bathtub before stashing their bodies under a neighbor’s house, the New York Daily News reports. According to Fox 11 , Thomas had an acquaintance approach her when she was throwing trash away. She allegedly told him she needed help moving as soon as possible. The man, then, asked the woman about her kids. She calmly responded and told him, casually, that she killed them .
“She was so matter of fact about it, he didn’t think she was serious. He thought she was joking. He continued to help her pack.”
As the man continued to help the Houston mother pack, he realized something was wrong. This was when he asked her again where her children were. Again, she gave him the same answer. He proceeded to drive Thomas to a police precinct and flag down a police officer.

Thomas claims she tried to bury her children at first, but decided to place their bodies under a neighbor’s house when burying them proved to be too difficult of a task for her to complete on her own. Thomas is not believed to have any mental health problems. In fact, the police have been to her home before, but it wasn’t for anything big deal.
The 30-year-old mother from Houston is in custody and has been charged with capital murder for her two children.
“All indications are she is the one who acted alone in the deaths of her 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter,” Houston police spokesman Kese Smith said. While the Houston mother has admitted to drowning her two children before disposing of their bodies under a neighbor’s house, authorities have not yet confirmed a cause of death.

The Houston mother’s aunt told authorities on Sunday the mother should have just called family for help if she was having trouble with the children because every parent needs a break from time to time. The aunt claims all the mother had to do was call them and tell them she was having a hard time and needed them to take the children for a while and they would have.
The last major drowning involving children in a bathtub was when Andrea Yates drowned all five of her children between the ages of 7-years-old and 6-months-old in the bathtub of her family home. Andrea Yates was, in time, found not guilty of the crime by reason of insanity. She originally committed the crime in 2001. It was in 2006 when it was decided that she killed her children because she was insane. Yates ended up being sent to a mental hospital.

The children have been identified as Orayln (Ray Ray) Thomas, age 7, and daughter, Kahana Thomas, age 5. The mother from Houston did have a third child, a 12-year-old boy. He, however, was with his father at the time of the incident.
The mother from Houston is believed to have killed her two children on Friday. She, then, wrapped both of their bodies in sheets and placed the bodies in a trash can close to her home. It was not until the following day when she decided to place the bodies under a neighbor’s house because burying them was not an easy task for one person to do.
The mother from Houston is currently in jail with no bond. Investigators are still trying to determine what possible motive the mother had for drowning her two children.

The aunt claims these were just innocent and growing children. She also stated this is the kind of devastating stuff you see on television and think about how it is never going to happen to you and your family.
What do you think should happen to the woman who drowned both of her children before tossing them under the neighbor’s house?
