JoJo Fletcher ‘Begs’ Chase McNary To Reject ‘The Bachelor’ 2017 Offer, Regrets Getting Engaged To Jordan Rodgers
JoJo Fletcher is reportedly starting to see Jordan Rodgers for who he truly is. While The Bachelorette 2016 winner insisted that he was not in it for the fame and money, several reports revealed that Fletcher felt betrayed when she found out about Rodgers’ true intention. A publication even speculated that Fletcher went running back into Chase McNary’s arms, asking him if they could give their relationship another chance.
It has long been rumored that The Bachelorette 2016’s Chase McNary will end up being the next Bachelor. Series creator Mike Fleiss confirmed that the Season 21 lead would be announced on his Twitter soon. He teased that the big reveal would happen either after the Olympics or when he hit 100,000 followers on Twitter.
Since last week, Fleiss had been dropping several hints on who the next Bachelor will be. He described him as someone who is very handsome, likes sunrises, makes a mean tuna casserole, and can run a mile in less than 6 minutes. Several fans thought that it could be either Luke Pell or Chase McNary.
While there is a big chance that McNary could end up being the next Bachelor, Celeb Dirty Laundry speculated that JoJo Fletcher “begged” him to reject the offer. Given that her engagement with Jordan Rodgers could be nothing but a publicity stunt, she was allegedly hoping that she and McNary could start over again. According to Life & Style magazine, Fletcher cannot help but feel “duped” by fiancé, who was only in it to boost his career.
“Jordan wanted fame and press from the get-go. Literally, the night before leaving, he said he was going on the show as a PR move.”
Rumors of JoJo Fletcher possibly hooking up with Chase McNary is a little surprising. If one can recall, in the middle of a Fantasy Suite date, Fletcher decided to send McNary home after he said “I love you” to her. Fletcher explained that she did not feel the same way and that spending the night together would probably not change anything. This clearly drove McNary over the edge, feeling that Fletcher just lead him on.
“I jumped over a hurdle I’ve never done before, and now I’m skewered. Now I’m shattered. I mean, what do you want me to say? You’ve 100 percent made me regret saying that. So now love equals ‘Get the f–k out?'”
In an interview with ABC News, Chase McNary admitted that he went a little too far and regretted his outburst. He explained that he was just in “so much shock and despair” at Fletcher’s decision.
“The whole day prior to that and the whole hometown prior to that went so well, why would it go so wrong? So for it to be on such a high note to end on such a hard note, I was in shock and I reacted in a way I wish I wouldn’t have,” he said.
Back in July, McNary told Entertainment Tonight that he is in talks to become the next Bachelor, alongside Luke Pell. Unlike Pell who seemed eager to return to the franchise, McNary shared that he would have to consider a lot of things before he accept the position.
“There [are] a lot of expectations and I’m not scared of it… but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position. [As the Bachelor] you’re put in the microscope of America and that’s scary. I wasn’t exactly the most open guy about my feelings, and going into being the Bachelor … that’s something I would definitely have to work on.”
Back then, JoJo Fletcher said that she would support both Luke Pell and Chase McNary, saying that they were both “phenomenal choices” to be the next Bachelor.
“Both extremely good-looking, but besides that they are great guys,” she said.
