‘The Originals’ Season 4: Cami’s Life And Death Still Affects Klaus 5 Years Later – Will This Change Joseph Morgan’s Character? [Spoilers]

The Originals Season 4 will not premiere on The CW until early next year. However, there are still spoilers available for the supernatural TV show. It turns out that Cami’s life and death will still affect Klaus Mikaelson five years later. Will this change the main character when the series returns?

There are possible spoilers for The Originals Season 4 ahead. If you do not want to know any information on what could happen, then stop reading.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) will wake up. Instead of waiting several episodes for it to happen, viewers will see the vampire emerge from his agony-induced coma early on in the season. At roundtable interviews at Comic-Con 2016, one of which can be viewed below, Morgan predicted that Klaus will be furious when he awakens. What else is known about his character and the upcoming season?

According to Breathecast, it was teased that Cami’s (Leah Pipes) life and death will still affect Klaus, five years later. This makes sense since she died shortly before the Season 3 finale of The Originals. In the final episode of the season, Klaus was punctured with the Tunde Blade and has been in a pain-induced coma ever since. Even though five years have passed, Cami’s death is probably still fresh in his mind.

The website explained that Cami’s death would have a big impact on Klaus. Fans will notice a change in his mood and personality. As everyone knows, her life also affected Klaus Mikaelson. The only difference is that she won’t be around to help him like before. This was explained by executive producer Michael Narducci to Entertainment Weekly.

“When we talked about Cami’s death before, I talked about how she has irrevocably altered Klaus. I’m not saying he’s ever going to be a good guy. But he is changed and maybe a little bit more thoughtful and may want to strive more towards the person that Cami imagined that he was.”

In a separate Comic-Con video interview, Joseph Morgan said when Klaus wakes up, he will guarded and his “shields will be up.” The actor also revealed that Klaus will be playing it cool until the right moment comes around for him to strike back. He has to be referring to Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis). However, the two vampires will have something more important to worry about. A new villain is coming to The Originals Season 4. He is a powerful vampire that has an old grudge against Klaus. Apparently, he will be a danger to everyone in New Orleans, so Marcel and Klaus might have to work together to stop him.

As for what else to expect in The Originals Season 4, it was teased that the five-year time jump will change many of the characters. For that entire time, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) has been searching for a cure while raising her daughter, Hope Mikaelson. Klaus’ siblings, Freya (Riley Voelkel), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), and Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt) have been on the dreamscape. They have nothing to do there except think about the past and what kind of people they want to become when and if they are saved.

As for Hope, she will no longer be a baby. When The CW series returns, Hope will be a 7-year-old girl with her own thoughts and ideas. As seen in the Comic-Con trailer, Hope asks her mom if they are going to get Klaus. To this, Hayley says that they are. It just isn’t known when or how it will happen.
