Adrienne Bailon Engaged To Israel Houghton — Details On Her Huge Engagement Ring!
Adrienne Bailon is engaged to Israel Houghton, and she has the huge diamond engagement ring to prove it.
Adrienne took to Instagram to announce the big news to the world on August 12, posting a video of herself showing off her ring next to the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.
“You. Me. Oui,” Bailon, who shot to fame as one quarter of the Disney Channel girlband The Cheetah Girls, captioned the video, confirming that Houghton had popped the question during a romantic getaway to Paris, France.
Houghton also confirmed the big engagement news on social media, posting a shot of Bailon’s huge engagement ring on the photo sharing site alongside a lengthy message of love for his new fiancé.
“I have seen and felt the essence of Gods grace through the life, the kindness and the courage of this woman,” Israel wrote.
“I’ve seen her attacked, lied about, wrongfully accused, mocked, laughed at, and misunderstood,” he continued, likely referring to the controversy that surrounded their romance and the drama currently surrounding Bailon and her former The Real co-star Tamar Braxton.
“She loves Jesus. She loves her family. She loves people. Even the ones that don’t love her back. I pray God give me that same grace in my life,” Israel continued of Adrienne. “I’ve taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time… She has graciously granted my request… She said yes. Thanks Be To God. Thank you [Adrienne] for graciously loving me.”
E! News also confirmed Adrienne and Israel’s big engagement news, as a source close to the couple told the site that Bailon and Houghton “couldn’t be more in love” after around five months of dating.
“[Adrienne and Israel] have known each other for a very long time,” the insider told the site of their engagement, revealing that the twosome grew close again earlier this year. “They worked on a project together a very long time ago and never lost touch,” the source said.
As for the engagement, the site’s source revealed that “it just felt meant to be for Adrienne” and added that Israel “treats her so well.”
Adrienne Bailon’s fans flocked to social media to congratulate the star on being engaged, posting a slew of messages on Twitter after Bailon announced the engagement news.
“Awww congratulations [Adrienne] on the engagement! So happy for you & Israel” Twitter fan @__DatKingCole tweeted out, and @CollectionsNew tweeted Bailon after she revealed she and Israel are engaged, “SO FREAKING HAPPY FOR YOU!! Adrienne’s stunning engagement ring from Israel appears to be a halo set rectangular diamond surrounded by a slew of smaller diamonds framing the huge center stone.
Social media users were also quick to gush over the huge diamond Bailon was rocking on her ring finger.
“Israel Houghton just proposed to Adrienne Bailon in Paris. And her ring is the size of Paris,” @sauvignonelle joked.
“Sooooooo, are we going to act like we don’t see Adrienne Bailon’s engagement ring. Lawd. That is huge,” Twitter user @aldinantumba joked of Bailon’s huge engagement ring, and @CGFBeauty tweeted, “OMG.. look at that ring!!!!! Lord!!!!! Holy moly!!!!!”
This will mark Houghton’s second marriage as he was previously married to Meleasa Houghton for 22 years before the two split earlier this year, while Adrienne was previously engaged to Lenny Santiago and also enjoyed a high profile romance with Rob Kardashian.
