Is There A New ‘Man Of Steel’ Villain?
This summer’s movie releases were for the most part incredible. The Avengers is officially one of the most popular films ever made, The Dark Knight Rises was a triumphant end to a delightful franchise, and even Peter Parker rebooted successfully.
So now it is on to next year’s extravaganza of celluloid wonderment, and, alongside the likes of Star Trek 2, Zack Snyder’s reboot of Superman, Man of Steel, is probably the most eagerly anticipated of the lot.
A teaser trailer for the movie didn’t reveal too much for what might be in store, but has a new line of LEGO products accidentally told us that a secret villain will do battle with Krypton’s favorite son too?
Michael Shannon is already confirmed to star as General Zod with Antje Traue’s Faora set to cause mayhem too, but the plastic toy company have now also shown that they are going to release a set entitled “Superman Black Zero Escape,” which might imply that they’re going to get in Superman’s way aswell.
Black Zero is a villain who destroys Krypton and then looks to do the same to Earth and is an all round pretty mean guy.
Now LEGO’s toys aren’t all related to film releases, but it certainly does make your mind boggle with excitement over where Snyder might take the movie.
Man of Steel will be with us in June 2013 and sees Henry Cavill play Clark Kent, Amy Adams star as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Kent’s parents on Earth, and Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Superman’s father from Krypton.
