‘Days Of Our Lives’: Will Xander Kill Theresa? When Is Jen Lilley’s Final Air Date? [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives is not airing this week or the next due to the Olympics. However, NBC released a preview clip that reveals just how dangerous and dramatic things are going to get in Salem when the soap opera returns. In one scene, Xander (Paul Tefler) strangles Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley). Will Xander kill Theresa when the long-running series returns? Just when is Jen Lilley’s final air date?

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, NBC’s preview clip for the new season of Days Of Our Lives shows the return of Clyde Weston (James Read). He doesn’t break out of prison by himself, though. He brings along two jail buddies who each have connections to Salem and want revenge. One is Orpheus (George Deloy) and the other is Xander Cook. One scene in the preview clip has fans worried for Theresa’s safety.

As seen in the preview clip below, Theresa is getting ready to marry Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). As she stands in front of her mirror wearing her wedding dress, she sees a face that brings fear to her eyes. Spinning around, Theresa realizes that her eyes are not playing tricks on her. Xander Cook has returned to Salem, and he wants revenge. He puts his hands around Theresa’s neck and begins to strangle her. Does Xander kill Theresa on Days Of Our Lives?

Back in early June, Jen Lilley announced her departure on Instagram. The actress revealed that fans would see Theresa Donovan on Days Of Our Lives for six more months. That means the character is not going anywhere until the end of the year.

With that being said, Jen Lilley’s final air date on Days Of Our Lives does not mean that Thresa Donovan won’t die on the soap opera. Remember, the NBC preview was for the new season instead of the typical weekly preview clip. This means that the scene with Theresa and Xander could take place in a few weeks or a few months from now. Fans should also keep in mind that, before Brady and Theresa marry, the couple will need to find their kidnapped son, Tate. They will also want the person responsible arrested. A lot of things are gong to have to happen before the wedding takes place, which is when Xander Cook tries to kill Theresa Donovan.

Speaking of Tate’s kidnapper, the preview clip also shows that Brady announces to everyone that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) is being arrested for conspiracy to kidnap Tate. He is seen behind bars, but a later scene reveals he attends Brady and Theresa’s wedding on Days Of Our Lives. Theresa is convinced he had something to do with Tate’s kidnapping, and Brady also has his suspicions. Unless something changes, there is no way that Brady and Theresa would want Victor at the wedding. Knowing how much Victor hates Theresa, he would never attend, which makes his presence quite unusual.

It is not known how the writers will have Theresa leave Days Of Our Lives. Will she be murdered, die from an illness, or land in a coma? Could she leave Salem on her own or will Jen Lilley’s character be recast? This is what they did with Kate Mansi. She played Abigail Devereaux and chose Marci Miller to take over the role. Fans will have to wait to find out. In the meantime, there is plenty of time to speculate.
