Trump Tower Climber Uploaded Creepy Pre-Recorded YouTube Message For ‘Mr. Trump’ [Video]
The man identified as “Steve from Virginia” who spent several hours scaling the walls of Trump Tower allegedly uploaded a creepy video message the day before.
His motive for climbing the Trump Tower building still remains unclear, as police believe it was in order to “self-promote,” but the video that was uploaded yesterday states otherwise.
Steve is a Trump supporter, the man in the video states, and the reason he is climbing Trump Towers is because he knows that Donald Trump is a “busy man,” but he needs to get his attention.
Why?
Because he has very, very important information for Mr. Trump. The transcript of the video is below, but a certain urgency is lost without watching the man in the video speak his words. From the greasy hair tucked beneath his black hoodie, to his unwillingness to look at the camera (in order to not be recognized, of course), to the monotone of his delivery — all of it adds to the tone of the video.
Hello Mr. Trump.
If you’ll excuse my manner of appearance — I just don’t know how many people will watch this and I’d rather not be recognizable. I am an independent researcher seeking a private audience with you to discuss an important matter. I guarantee that it is in your interest to honor this request. Believe me, if my purpose is not significant, I would not risk my life pursuing.
The reason I climbed your tower was to get your attention. If I had sought this via conventional means, I would be much less likely to have success, because you’re a busy man with many responsibilities.
I’ll get my contact information to your campaign, so that if you are interested you can respond. As for anyone else who’s watching, please help make this video go viral so that it gets to Mr. Trump, and be sure to get out and vote for Mr. Trump in the 2016 election
Thank you.
Nothing is yet known about the “important matter” that Steve from Virginia needs to discuss with Mr. Trump. Nor is it known what, exactly, Steve from Virginia is independently researching. But already, the hashtag #StevefromVirginia has gone viral on Twitter, Pix11 reports. And while there has not yet been an official confirmation that the man in the video is, in fact, Steve from Virginia, the already-infamous Trump Tower climber, police have told ABC News that there is no reason not to believe that it is him.
Certainly, pictures taken of the Trump Tower climber look a lot like the man in the video, despite his desire to “not be recognizable.”
The video was uploaded under the name Leven Thumps, which may be significant. Leven Thumps is a popular children’s fantasy series by author Obert Skye. And the series, which has five books, focuses on the plight of an orphan, a 14-year-old boy named, of course, Leven Thumps.
And Leven Thumps becomes inextricably involved in the very elemental battle of good and evil.
Police grabbed Steve from Virginia as he reached the 26th floor, after what amounted to a three-hour standoff between the climber and police. Police stated that they do not believe Steve from Virginia meant to do actual harm to anyone, including Donald Trump. Steve climbed the walls using a contraption he made out of suction cups. He also had rappelling gear and a backpack that was reportedly filled with literature that police have described as “self promotion.”
The Trump campaign has yet to respond. Donald Trump, does in fact, live at Trump Tower, but Trump was in Virginia at the time Steve from Virginia was at Trump Tower.
“This man performed a ridiculous and dangerous stunt,” Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization, said in an emailed statement. “I’m 100 percent certain the NYPD had better things to do.”
Watch the video and let us know — what do you think “Steve from Virginia” wants to discuss with Donald Trump?
