‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 2: New Images Released For Episodes 8, 9, And 10 Indicate Nick’s Past Will Be Revealed, Others Checking Into A Hotel, And Perhaps The Arrival Of Alex Again
AMC has just released new images for the first three episodes of Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 return. So let’s break down the images and see if we can work out what is planned for the first few episodes of Fear.

Episode 8
The first episode for the Season 2 return of Fear The Walking Dead is entitled “Grotesque” according to AMC. The episode will premiere on August 21 and will be directed by Daniel Sackheim. You can view the synopsis below.
“Nick’s steadfast search for answers leads him into a deadly dog-eat-dog landscape. A dark piece of his past is uncovered.”
The mid-season finale of Fear saw Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) split from the core group and head off into the land of the undead using nothing but some infected blood as protection. In recent interviews, it was revealed that Nick will be looking for people who think the way Celia (Marlene Forte) did and respect the undead as a new way of living rather than a threat to the living. Knowing we will get a glimpse into Nick’s past is a new delicious treat. Will fans find out what turned Nick to drugs? Or is it something else? Either way, it seems like Episode 8 of Fear The Walking Dead will see Nick challenged.
However, a still of Episode 8, released by AMC, show Luciana (Danay Garcia) looking at something. While we know Nick will meet up with Luciana’s group at some point in the second half of Season 2, could Nick walking through the undead already have led him to Luciana’s group as early as Episode 8? It is also of interest to note, in the image below, that Luciana’s group also seem partial to Nick’s form of infected blood as a way to disguise the living from the dead.
Another interesting thing to note about Episode 8 is the fact that IMDb has listed Michelle Ang as one of the cast members. Michelle plays Alex, the sole survivor from Flight 462. The first half of Season 2 saw her introduced to the core group, but not under happy circumstances. Thanks to Strand (Colman Domingo) not allowing her access to his boat, the other survivor she was with, Jake (Brendan Meyer), perished. Her second meeting with members of the group did not go well either as she was still angry at what Strand had done to her and Jake.
It is expected Alex will turn up again at some point in Fear. However, footage of the Season 2 return has not showed any images of Alex, so is her name on the cast list merely because she is considered a regular cast member for the second half of Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead? Only by tuning into Episode 8 will all be revealed!
Episode 9
Episode 9 of Fear The Walking Dead is, as yet, untitled. No synopsis has been released either. However, two images have been released. These images show something fans already knew after the release of the Season 2 trailer was released at San Diego Comic Con in July; Strand’s group will end up at a hotel. While the images do not reveal much, one image indicates Strand and Madison (Kim Dickens) are startled by something when they are in the hotel bar.

Once again, there is no news about Episode 10 beyond the images. But, judging by the pictures, if Episode 8 is all about Nick and Episode 9 might focus on Strand’s group, it seems Episode 10 will center on Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) and his son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie).
