Hillary Clinton’s Foreign Policy Has Been Disastrous For Muslims

Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy decisions when she was secretary of State, along with her choices while the senator of New York, were not and have not been kind to places in the Middle East, where many of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims live.

Donald Trump is the candidate that gets repeatedly blasted for his bigotry and “hatred” for Muslims, but has he actually done anything to warrant such a lambasting?

Sure, he hasn’t made a secret of the fact that he would like to temporarily ban Muslim immigration into the United States, but those are just words for now.

One thing Trump hasn’t been directly responsible for are the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

Let’s take a look at what Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy has done for Muslims.

She voted in favor of the Iraq war.

According to IraqBodyCount.org, between 162,318 to 181,302 civilians have been killed due to violence since the 2003 Iraq invasion. A separate total which takes into account military personnel racks the total up to 251,000 people.

“Iraq Body Count maintains the world’s largest public database of violent civilian deaths since the 2003 invasion, as well as separate running total which includes combatants.”

Keep in mind that these numbers represent the country of Iraq only. The death toll in the Middle East as a whole is much higher.

It was estimated in March of 2015 that as many as 1.3 million people have died as a result of the U.S.’s decision to invade Iraq, and according to a study done by Physicians of Social Responsibility, that number could more realistically be closer to 2 million.

Pew Research Center found that the Middle Eastern and North African region of the world has a very concentrated population of Muslims.

“However, the Middle East-North Africa region has the highest concentration Muslims of any region of the world: 93% of its approximately 341 million inhabitants are Muslim, compared with 30% in sub-Saharan Africa and 24% in the Asia-Pacific region.”

This means that 93 percent of the population, where upwards of 1.3 million people have died due to the invasion of Iraq and war-like events that occurred thereafter, are Muslims. And Hillary Clinton voted in favor of the first event in the chain of events that has led to this overwhelming death toll.

Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy is also responsible for what Libya and Syria have become in recent years, which is very poor indeed.

According to Breitbart, the foreign policy-related decisions President Obama and Hillary Clinton made once Obama was elected paved the way for a supreme terror group to establish itself and rise to power.

“Syria proved to be resistant to the Obama/Clinton calls for regime change. Instead of the quick overthrow that happened in Egypt, Assad, aided by the Russians and opposed by the U.S., held on – even as the United States was giving weapons to the so-called ‘rebels’ that would eventually find their way into the hands of Islamist groups.

“This power vacuum in Syria created the conditions for ISIS to rise. In Iraq, the continued withdrawals that happened under Hillary Clinton’s watch created another power vacuum that led to ISIS gaining more land and resources.”

The former secretary of State admitted as much to a journalist from The Atlantic back in 2014.

“‘The failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad—there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle—the failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled,’ Clinton said.”

Even progressive-friendly website U.S. Uncut published an article in which the writer basically admitted that a President Hillary Clinton might be as calamitous at foreign policy decision-making as a President Donald Trump.

It was Hillary Clinton’s decision to overthrow Libya’s leader, Muammar Gaddafi, which in turn resulted in the “power vacuum” that was subsequently filled with Islamic terrorists. Obama had, at first, disagreed with Clinton’s plan to oust Gaddafi, but she ultimately convinced him to go along with it.

“The 2011 NATO-led invasion of Libya that took place after Clinton’s visit has since allowed extremist groups to seize power in an unprecedented takeover of much of the country over the last five years.”

Today, ISIS jihadists dominate the land of Libya, a land that is now in ruins thanks largely to a decision made by Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy.

How many innocent Muslims have died as a result of this decision?

To give you an idea, Pew Research Center reported in 2009 that 95 percent of Libya’s population was Muslim.

Another very negative consequence, not just for Muslims (although they have suffered the most for it at this point) but for the world, of Clinton’s weak foreign policy is ISIS becoming a powerful force in multiple Middle Eastern countries.

As with Gaddafi, Hillary’s attempt to get rid of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad didn’t go as planned. She also talked Obama into arming Syrian forces who were at the time against Assad, but when the plan failed, ISIS jihadists began to take over these same militants, thus putting American weapons into the hands of the enemy.

In short, the plan to oust Assad led to the disaster that is now Syria, and ultimately led to the Syrian refugee crisis, which has caused reams of cultural integration problems throughout Europe.

Is it worse to completely obliterate a region and its people due to faulty decision-making, or to have the desire to keep your people safe from savage extremists who grew to power under your rival’s thumb?

Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy choices have been nothing short of completely devastating to the Muslims that make up the vast majority of the population there. How much more death and destruction will she cause to the remaining innocent Muslims of the world? She is to blame for the ruination of both Libya and Syria. Let’s not give her the chance to dig her claws into anyone else’s land, including the United States.
