‘Bachelor’ Star Lauren Bushnell Teases Wedding Planning With Ben Higgins, Have They Set A Date?
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell fell in love and got engaged during ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 finale this past winter, and they have a new show of their own set to debut this fall. Despite rumors to the contrary at times, it seems that Ben and Lauren are doing very well, and viewers got to see a bit of them during JoJo Fletcher’s Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special last week. Now they’re sharing some additional updates specifically regarding wedding planning, and fans are anxious for some solid news on this front.
Entertainment Tonight checked in with Lauren Bushnell during her time in Los Angeles, and she shared a few updates about her life with Ben Higgins. The two are living together in Denver, Colorado, now, and not long ago they spent a few days in Portland, Oregon, where she is originally from, to have an engagement party with family and friends. Does that mean that they have picked a wedding date? Could their nuptials be coming during the finale of their new show?

According to Lauren, there still is no specific wedding date picked yet. Bushnell says that she and Higgins have started some of the initial planning, and they are considering doing a winter wedding. If that is the timeframe they go with, it is possible that it will be incorporated into Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, as that is said to premiere in October.
A winter Bachelor wedding would sync up quite well with what the franchise has done for other televised nuptials, as well, as all of the previous couples who were featured on ABC also tied the knot over the winter. Ben’s fiancee says that it is very likely that viewers will see the planning process play out on their new Freeform show, but she says that she’s not making any promises on that front quite yet.
Bushnell admits that there have been some stressful times with all of the change she has faced over the past few months, noting that there has been “a lot of happiness, a lot of laughs, but also a lot of struggles.” While Ben and Lauren have had some challenges, she notes that they are doing well and stepping away from the spotlight a bit to focus on their new life together has been a good and fun change. They are filming their new show now, however, and Bachelor fans will be anxious to check it out.
Shortly after their Bachelor finale aired, Ben returned to the job that he had prior to filming Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette season and his own journey to find love that ended in an engagement to Lauren. While she has continued to do some work with Alaska Airlines, she is now turning her focus to a blog that she has started.
Fans have seen other franchise gals start their own blogs as well and it would appear that Lauren is ready to follow in similar footsteps. She just launched Sparkle in Her Eye during her time in Los Angeles last week, and she credits Ben with providing a lot of support as she threw herself into this new adventure. The new site will feature style, travel, interior design, and beauty posts from the Bachelor star, and there is a section that will seemingly share some insight on her life in Denver with Higgins as well.

Ben and Lauren may be living in Denver these days, but they have been doing plenty of traveling as well. In addition to their engagement party in Portland, they spent the Fourth of July back in Indiana with his friends and family and they even did a lunch date with JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers in California after the Bachelorette finale.
Of course, cameras are with Ben and Lauren on all of these excursions. Bachelor fans will certainly be watching to see if Higgins and Bushnell start making frequent trips back to Los Angeles, a move that would surely signal in-depth wedding planning.
