‘The Flash’ Season 2 Cast Return For Season 3: CW TV Show Cast Confirmed, With Tom Felton To Portray Barry’s Evil Twin [Spoilers]
The Flash will return for its third season this year, following a successful Season 2. CW has already confirmed that many key cast members from the show’s first and second seasons will continue their roles into the third season, however, the show is also set to introduce new characters into an incredibly complicated storyline.
According to Movie Pilot, Season 3 of The Flash is expected to pick up where the show’s second season finished. The explosive finale saw the show’s main protagonist Barry Allen break the timeline for good by finally rescuing his mother. The events of that season finale are expected to set an explosive premise for the show’s third season, including new character additions. The most prominent of those character additions being Tom Felton, best known for his roles in the Harry Potter movie franchise.
Felton has been cast as a series regular for The Flash Season 3, however, his character description gives away very little information about the character.
“Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation.”
It’s left many fans questioning exactly what Tom Felton’s role in The Flash will entail, however, his character is expected to be integral to the show’s storyline and relate to the aforementioned Season 2 finale.
That being said, Felton’s casting description does suggest his character to be a workplace rival of Barry. However, in a show with as many twists and turns as The Flash, it seems very unlikely that a name like Tom Felton would come onboard to just play a minor character. With that in mind, there’s growing speculation that Felton’s character, Julian Dorn, could very well be Barry’s evil twin or Cobalt Blue as readers of The Flash comic series will know him.Infamous DC villain Cobalt Blue was originally the twin brother of Barry Allen. However, Barry’s twin was swapped with Charlene Thawne’s dead son by the doctor in order to cover-up his mistake, with Allen’s parents told that their other son had died. Unbeknown to Barry, his twin brother grew up to be Cobalt Blue.

However, when it comes to other key characters from Season 2, their futures aren’t so clear. The explosive events of The Flash Season 2 finale are almost certain to change the narrative of the show, with new enemies for Barry to encounter, which could very well see older foes pushed out of the picture.
What’s more, perhaps pretty exciting for DC fans is the prospect of crossover episodes. Viewers of The Flash and Arrow have seen the two series crossover in the past, however, producers have promised to bring even more DC characters into The Flash this season, including from Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. However, how those shows will fit into the developing storyline of The Flash remains to be seen when it returns on October 4.
