‘The Originals’: Klaus And Marcel’s Reunion To Get Violent? Hope Saves Klaus? Joseph Morgan Teases Season 4 [Spoilers]
The Originals Season 4 will not air on The CW network until next year. However, the cast and crew have been releasing some spoilers for fans. Recently, actor Joseph Morgan spoke about Klaus Mikaelson and Marcel Gerard’s violent reunion. He also explained how his daughter, Hope Mikaelson, could save him and teased that the end is coming.
Spoilers for The Originals Season 4 are below. Do not continue reading if you do not want to know what will happen on the supernatural series.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Hope Mikaelson will be older when The Originals returns with Season 4. There will be a time jump of five years, meaning that Klaus and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter will be 7-years-old. That is a long time for Klaus Mikaelson to be comatose and entombed. What will happen when Joseph Morgan’s character wakes up?
At Comic-Con 2016, Morgan spoke about Season 4. Spoilers include Hope Mikaelson possibly being the key to Klaus’ redemption and his relationship with Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis). The actor even teased that the end might be coming for Klaus and Marcel. In a video posted by TV Overmind, several spoilers for The Originals were revealed.
First, Joseph said that in the centuries that Klaus has been a vampire, the one thing he never had was a child. Hope is special to him, and she means everything to Mikaelson. The actor believes that she is the key to Klaus’ redemption. It has been teased that Hope will have a real storyline in Season 4. As fans recall, she was just a baby last season and couldn’t even talk yet. It will be interesting to see what kind of girl she turns out to be and if she can save Klaus Mikaelson.
Marcel is responsible for Klaus’ current predicament. On the season finale of The Originals, the vampire was put on trial for all the pain he caused people over the years. He was then struck with the Tunde blade and put into a coma. It isn’t a peaceful sleep, though. Klaus will be filled with agony the entire time.
As for the Mikaelson siblings, Marcel believes that they are dead. However, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Claire Holt), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), and Freya (Riley Voelkel) were sent to a dreamscape. Instead of dying, their lives are tethered to Klaus’. They must sit up there and wait for Hayley to find a cure. As one can imagine, everyone is going to be a bit cranky after five years, especially Klaus.
When it comes to the relationship between Klaus and Marcel in The Originals, Season 4 will not be about forgiving and forgetting. Joseph Morgan said to expect violence when the vampire wakes up. The actor explained that Klaus loved Marcel like a son and ended up being betrayed. Executive producer Michael Narducci told Entertainment Weekly that Marcel Gerard is not the villain and never will be. Some believe that Davis’ character was justified, especially after Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) death. Morgan explained that Marcel wanted to believe in the Mikaelsons and has been waiting a long time. Klaus may understand this a bit, but it doesn’t mean he will react less violently. This is Klaus Mikaelson we are talking about.
“I feel like the end is coming for these two,” Morgan said at Comic-Con regarding Klaus and Marcel, “and I’m excited to see it.”
The question is how will it end for Klaus and Marcel? Will they kill one another or will they find a way to reconcile? Perhaps the new big bad in The Originals Season 4 will be part of that storyline.
