‘The 100’ Season 4: There Is Hope For Everyone Except Octavia? Marie Avgeropoulos Talks About Her Character’s Journey [Spoilers]
The 100 will not begin airing new episodes until 2017. However, there are still spoilers for Season 4. Recently, Marie Avgeropoulos spoke about Octavia Blake, and what to expect from the character. While there is hope for many of the Sky Crew, don’t bet on things getting any easier for Octavia.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the theme of Season 4 is the nuclear threat. Last season, ALIE (Erica Cerra) told Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) that 96 percent of the world would be uninhabitable in six months. Some fans wondered if the artificial intelligence was lying or exaggerating. However, executive producer Jason Rothenberg confirmed at Comic-Con that the A.I. was being honest. However, don’t expect the Sky Crew to save the world. It cannot be stopped, so the only thing they can do is survive it.
Besides the nuclear disaster, some of the characters will be going through other problems. One of those is Octavia Blake. According to Showbiz Junkies, Marie Avgeropoulos spoke about her character during roundtable interviews at Comic-Con 2016. What did the actress have to say?
It has been teased that even though a nuclear disaster is on its way, there is still hope. When asked about Octavia, Avgeropoulos teased that hope might not be in the cards for her character. Last season on The 100, Pike (Michael Beach) executed Octavia’s boyfriend, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). It was traumatic, especially considering that her own brother, Bellamy (Bob Morley), was part of Pike’s anti-Grounder movement.
During the season finale, Clarke managed to save everyone from ALIE. After that, Octavia walked up to Pike and killed him without hesitation. Marie explained that Octavia thought killing Pike would make her feel better. However, that hole in her heart is still there. So, what is her plan in Season 4 of The 100?
“It’s going to be a really emotional journey for Octavia. She takes a really dark turn into some pretty nasty pastures,” Marie Avgeropoulos said at Comic-Con. “You know, Octavia thought killing Pike would sort of band-aid that wound in her heart. It doesn’t. It actually triggers something even more disappointing because she thought it would fix that and make it all better. She is going to do what she does best next season, and that’s killing people. She doesn’t enjoy or take pleasure out of it; she just knows that’s her skill set.”
The writers of The 100 have their own Instagram account. Clues are often posted teasing what is coming next. A few weeks ago, the words “Ninja Octavia” were written. On another day, it was revealed that someone would die. Another spoiler from the writers teased that someone would have a knife to their throat on the season premiere.
Avgeropoulos also said that Octavia will be part of a new group in Season 4 of The 100. Even though she was part of the Sky Crew, she identifies more with the Grounders. Could this be a new group that hasn’t yet been introduced?
“It took Octavia a while to figure out what she does best and now she knows what that is,” the actress teased, “and she’s going to use that as an outlet to really excel at being the best assassin that she can with a certain group that you’re all aware of – I can’t tell you who. She’s going to have a really dark season.”
