Natalie Portman Puts Career On Hold, Plans More Time With Her Son
Natalie Portman has made the decision to place her career on hold so she can spend more time with son Aleph.
Portman’s son was born in June 2011 and now a source tells US Weekly:
“Natalie is being super choosy about her projects and taking more time off from acting.”
That source then adds:
“She has this glow about her these days. There’s been a change in her since the little man arrived.”
The move to spend more time with her son shouldn’t come as a surprise, after marrying hubby Benjamin Millepied the couple took their son with them on a honeymoon to the Turks and Caicos. According to sources close to the couple they couldn’t part with their son for any period of time.
An insider tells Life & Style Magazine:
“This break was very precious to them. They made silly faces to make Aleph laugh and they all looked like they couldn’t be happier.”
The birth was apparently a good thing for Portman’s overall personal feel as a source tells Showbiz Spy:
“She has this glow about her these days. There’s been a change in her since the little man arrived. She and Benjamin are so content.”
Natalie Portman is hardly the first actress to take time off work but that is typically the exception and not the rule. For example Alyson Hannigan and Melissa Joan-Hart both recently worked on set while pregnant and then immediately after giving birth.
Do you applaud Natalie Portman’s decision to take time off for her young baby boy?
