‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: Shocking Daenerys Twist Coming?

Game of Thrones Season 7 is a year away, but fans won’t let that stop them from making predictions and coming up with theories about what may happen in upcoming episodes of the show.

According to the Guardian, some fans are sharing their thoughts and theories online, and have caused quite a stir in the Game of Thrones fan community.

One viewer’s theory about fan favorite character, Daenerys Targaryen, has some viewers hoping that she’s wrong. The fan, a woman named Gloria, claims she believes that Dany will actually be dead by the end of the series.

This is a very controversial theory, since many viewers believe that Daenerys will be sitting on the Iron Throne when the series finally ends.

The fan elaborates, saying that she believes that Dany will be crowned queen, but that she will eventually sacrifice herself in the war against the white walkers. However, first she’ll name Jon Snow as her successor.

“Daenerys will die. She may initially sit on the throne before the White Walkers come but the war will eventually claim her scalp too. She’ll be around long enough to establish Jon as a legitimate successor (remember, she doesn’t want children or believe she even can anymore). She will help defeat the White Walkers with her dragons before sacrificing herself. It would be a good way of keeping her as a vaguely messianic figure and give her a glorious, fiery departure, much like how this story seems to be the last hurrah for magic.”

Many Game of Thrones fans also believe that Daenerys will actually get married, as well. Viewers watched her tell her boyfriend, Daario, in the Season 6 finale that she plans to marry to help her gain the throne. In fact, even though fans now know that Jon Snow has Targaryen blood, many viewers still think he and Dany will end up together, and possibly further their family’s bloodline while ruling the seven kingdoms side by side.

There are so many Game of Thrones theories online that it is nearly impossible to keep up them all. That is one of the reasons that fans are so engaged in the HBO fantasy series, as well as the George R.R. Martin books in which it is adapted from. The possibilities for the plethora of characters are endless, and anything could happen at any time.

Recently, HBO announced that Season 8 of the series will likely be the last, but that a Game of Thrones spin-off isn’t out of the question. Viewers immediately took to social media to give their thoughts on what they’d like to see as a spin-off. Many fans revealed that they’d love to see a series about Daenerys’ father, Aerys, most commonly called “The Mad King.”

The show would be a prequel series, and detail all the events that Game of Thrones fans have heard so much about. Of course, dragons would be a big part of the show, as the Targaryen family members are said to have dragon blood. Perhaps viewers would even get to see Dany’s mother, or the Khaleesi as a child.

As Game of Thrones viewers know, Daenerys had a tough childhood with her brother. She was forced to be moved around and hidden from those who hated her family and wanted to kill off the bloodline. However, a Lannister or Stark prequel series would also be equally interesting for fans who just want more of the amazing world George R.R. Martin has created.
