JonBenet Ramsey’s Brother To Appear On ‘Dr. Phil’ To Speak Publicly Of Murder
The unsolved mystery from 1996 of the murder of JonBenet Ramsey has returned to the news as Burke Ramsey, the older brother of JonBenet, is speaking out for the first time to Dr. Phil McGraw on his show, Dr. Phil. At the time of JonBenet Ramsey’s death on Christmas, Burke Ramsey was 9-years-old, and one of the three people in the Ramsey’s Colorado home. Burke Ramsey is speaking to Dr. Phil as a representative of the Ramsey family. Burke Ramsey’s mother, Patsy Ramsey, died of ovarian cancer just two years before Burke Ramsey was officially cleared as a suspect in the murder of JonBenet.
The murder and disappearance of children is always the kind of story that stays in the news, according to the Inquisitr. The story of Natalee Holloway, the young woman who went missing, and was presumed murdered in Aruba by convicted murderer Joran van der Sloot was back in the news in the spring as van der Sloot confessed to killing Holloway. Coincidentally, Natalee Holloway’s mother, Beth, briefly dated JonBenet’s father, John Bennett Ramsey, as they bonded over losing daughters to violence.

People Magazine is revealing that Burke Ramsey, now 29, is going public with his views on the loss of his sister, beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, and speaking with Dr. Phil in a three-part series. Burke and JonBenet’s father, John Bennett Ramsey, found the body of his daughter in their Colorado basement, with duct tape on her mouth and a cord around her neck. There had been a ransom note found earlier for $118k, and JonBenet had been sexually assaulted. John Bennett Ramsey has spoken out, claiming that after the loss of JonBenet, he did everything he could to protect Burke, his remaining child, and keep him naive of accusations that he [Burke] was involved in the crime.
“We tried to shield him from that.”

The Ramsey family went into overdrive after the murder of JonBenet to protect Burke and guard him from the tabloids.
“Friends would ask us, ‘What can we do to help?’ We said, ‘Next time you go in the supermarket, call the manager over when you see our child’s photo on the front cover, and ask him to remove it.’ A lot of them did that.”
The Denver Post says the Dr. Phil Show with Burke Ramsey will begin airing on September 13 and cover Burke’s perspective as a child surviving the murder of his sibling, JonBenet Ramsey. The Dr. Phil Show claims that information and details will be shared that have never been public before. The Dr. Phil Show has sent out media releases to hype Burke Ramsey’s appearance on the popular talk show.
“Speaking out publicly for the first time, JonBenet’s 29-year-old brother, Burke, reveals what he knows about his sister’s mysterious murder in a ripped-from-the-headlines exclusive interview with Dr. Phil. After 20 years, it’s finally time for answers.”
Burke Ramsey’s life was torn apart, not only by the loss of his sister, JonBenet, but by the gruesome accusations that Burke Ramsey had played a role in her death. John and Patsy Ramsey filed a $25million lawsuit against The Star, after Burke was cleared by DNA evidence left on the beauty queen’s pajamas. The headlines were both sensational and scathing, as they accused a child with little or no evidence.
“JonBenét was killed by brother Burke” and “Sad twisted life of JonBenét’s brother.”
The Ramsey’s reached an undisclosed settlement. Another tabloid, The Globe, also settled with the Ramsey family.
Coincidentally, Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife, Robyn, have employed Attorney L. Lin Wood, the same lawyer as the Ramsey’s in order to sue a tabloid.
