And I'm really looking forward to spending time with the Hollywood Foreign Press before Donald Trump has them all deported.

Jimmy Fallon has hosted The Tonight Show since 2014 when he took the position that was last filled by Jay Leno. The late-night talk show started in the late 1950s as a news-style talk show beginning with Steve Allen and Jack Paar as hosts. The show gained popularity when Johnny Carson took over in 1962 and remained the host for thirty years. At that time, the show was called The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. After Carson retired in 1992, the show was taken over by Jay Leno until 2014, with Conan O’Brien briefly hosting the show from 2009 until 2010.
While Fallon has hosted The Tonight Show for about three years, his comedic talents have gained fans for him since he was a regular on Saturday Night Live. As mentioned before, Jimmy’s “charm, wit and spontaneity” have brought the comedian a long way. Fallon was an SNL cast member from 1998 to 2004, and co-hosted the SNL Weekend Update, which made him a fan favorite. Soon after leaving SNL, Fallon starred in films such as Taxi and Fever Pitch. In 2009, he was asked to host Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, which followed The Tonight Show. Fallon’s penchant for music and games on that show followed him when he became host of The Tonight Show in 2014. Fan favorites include his “lip sync battles,” “truth or dare” and other celebrity games that he plays with guests on The Tonight Show.
Fallon’s latest tweet could mean a surprise for fans.

Apparently, there will be a contest or some way for fans to be part of the awards show, but Fallon didn’t elaborate. Whatever Jimmy Fallon has in store when he hosts the Golden Globes in January will most likely be epic, just as his nightly episodes of The Tonight Show are. The next thing we have to look forward to is who will be nominated. Be sure to check out the nominations, which will be announced this year on Monday, December 12.
