How Could ‘Game Of Thrones’ End? What About One Of These Five Ways?
With Game of Thrones Season 8 set as the last, fans know that it won’t be long until they find out how the show is going to end. Will this be the same way as the book series A Song of Ice and Fire? That part’s unknown, but here are five ways that the show could end.
Daenerys taking the Iron Throne has been the way that many fans have speculated Game of Thrones will end. Part of this comes from her being the main female protagonist in the story, so she would need to have a happy ending. Another part of this theory comes from the speculation that Dany’s character is based on Henry VII of England.

When Henry VII was still Henry Tudor, he was exiled in France and had to build an army to bring to England and gain the crown from Yorkist King Richard III. This was after Richard had possibly killed his nephews and invalidated his brother’s marriage to gain the crown through less-than-honorable methods.
Could Cersei be Richard III in this scenario? Considering she has now got the Iron Throne — the one thing she has wanted from the beginning — it is certainly possible.
This would lead to alliances needing to be formed. Could Jon Snow end up working with Dany to take Cersei down? It could even be possible that Jon and Dany marry to help strengthen Westeros. This would allow another “Wars of the Roses” to play out: Henry Tudor married Elizabeth of York to join the two warring households of Lancaster and York.
While the battle for the throne goes on, what about Arya’s storyline? She has plenty of names to cross off her list, as the International Business Times reminds everyone. One of those is Cersei, and it certainly now looks like Cersei isn’t going to live to the end of Game of Thrones. Rather than Dany fighting Cersei, is it possible that Arya will get in there and cross that name off her list?

What about Dany, Cersei, and Jon all failing to get the throne? Littlefinger has now made it clear that he wants it and will do anything to get it. He also wants Sansa to sit beside him. Will he do everything in his power to take down all the others and get the Iron Throne at the end of Game of Thrones? Maybe Dany will initially get it, and right at the very end, Littlefinger poisons her wine and takes the throne. He wouldn’t even need to sit on the throne. Just the camera finishing on his evil smirk would be enough for fans to know that it was him.
Finally, Game of Thrones could completely end by taking out all the characters. Rather than anyone getting the throne, the White Walkers could take over Westeros. Everyone becomes a member of their zombie army, and they work on taking over the world. Maybe it leaves Bran and Meera on their own as they try to find a way to reverse everything and save the rest of the world while letting Westeros perish.

It certainly looks like Cersei won’t last to the end of Game of Thrones. She has become the show’s main antagonist now, and it is up to Dany and Jon to take her down. Will this happen throughout Season 7 and 8, or will the story end a completely different way? Will Littlefinger get his way, or will the White Walkers be the last faces fans see?
