‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 Spoilers: Aladdin’s Story Teased And Jasmine Has Her Own Agenda

Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers are getting juicier. The fairy tale drama’s new season premieres on ABC next month, and fans are wondering what to expect. Recently, it was announced that Jafar, Aladdin, and Jasmine were added to the OUAT cast. What is known about Aladdin’s story so far? Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed some information. Also, Jasmine has her own agenda, but what could it be?

For months, fans speculated that Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) and Jasmine (Karen David) would appear in Once Upon A Time Season 6. Spoilers revealed at Comic-Con 2016 confirmed that theory, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. So, what can viewers expect from these two new characters when the upcoming season begins airing?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming season of OUAT will have Jafar, Aladdin, and Jasmine’s storylines meshing with the “Savior mythology.” As fans know, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) was called the Savior. So, is Aladdin the Savior in the Land Of Untold Stories? It was teased that Emma was not the first Savior, and it is possible she might not be the last.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Aladdin arrives in Once Upon A Time Season 6 very weak. In the official trailer, Jafar makes a comment about it being related to the “Savior problem.” Is this what all Saviors go through? Eventually, will Emma be weakened and barely able to move just like Aladdin or are his injuries related to something else?

Fans wonder if Aladdin’s story will be darker than the childhood tale that viewers remember.

“I think it’s the Once Upon a Time tone, which is to say that dark things happen but it never gets bleak, which is the difference we always draw,” Adam Horowitz told THR. “Despite how dark and scary things can get, there’s always a hopefulness at the core of the storytelling. I think with the Aladdin story and how it meshes with the Once Upon a Time story, the same will hold true. We’re not going to pull any punches with Jafar in terms of being a really dark and evil character.”

While several Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers were revealed about Aladdin, Jasmine is more of a mystery. The only thing confirmed about Karen David’s character is that she is a strong individual that has her own agenda. She will not debut with Aladdin, but expect a surprise when she does make her big introduction.

According to Enstars, Aladdin and Jasmine‘s tales will fit in with the Land Of Untold Stories and with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It wasn’t a matter of if they would be included, but a matter of when.

“With the Land Of Untold Stories and with Jekyll and Hyde,” Adam Horowitz revealed, “I think you’ll see that the Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar story folds in neatly.”

Other Once Upon A Time Season 6 spoilers include Regina and Mr. Hyde engaged in a sword fight, and The Evil Queen will be trying to destroy everyone. Along with a lot of new characters, there will also be several old faces returning. Also, expect to Hook and Emma’s relationship get stronger while learning more about Snow White and Cinderella’s past.
