Amanda Bynes Is ‘Doing Amazing’

After a string of vehicular and legal troubles, Amanda Bynes claims that she is “doing amazing.” The 26-year-old actress was recently charged with a DUI and two counts of hit-and-run, but that didn’t stop her from telling People magazine that the charges are not true.

“I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don’t drink, and I don’t drink and drive. It is all false,” she said. Bynes also told the magazine that she has retired from acting — again — and that she is moving to New York to start a fashion line.

Bynes’ attorney Richard Hutton appeared in court Wednesday, and the judge denied a $50,000 bail request from prosecutors for the actress’s “false” April DUI arrest. The judge said a high, but unspecified, bail amount will be imposed if she breaks the rules of the road again.

Bynes’ odd behavior isn’t confined to the road. During a spin class at Equinox gym in West Hollywood Tuesday evening, onlookers say the former All That star took her T-shirt off “revealing only a tiny, black, strapless push-up bra – not a sports bra.” She then started doing her makeup for 10 minutes and then put her shirt back on and left the gym.

A source close to Bynes told the magazine that, even though she says she doesn’t party or drink, “She doesn’t realize she has a problem” and that people are concerned about her.

The actress’s problems are getting so bad that her parents moved from their Texas home to be with her. They say they just want to provide her with a support system and will not ask for a conservatorship, meaning they will not ask for someone to take care of Bynes’ legal responsibilities on her behalf.
