Lee Min-ho To Propose Marriage Before Heading To Military?

March 2015 was a month to remember for K-drama fans.

According to a report by KPop, it was during this time that South Korean sweethearts Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy officially announced they are a couple. The duo’s public proclamation marked the beginning of a happily-ever-after relationship.

The fans were delighted. Many anticipated that the Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy’s relationship is one of those celebrity affairs that will lead to a happy marriage. However, since September last year, many were led to believe that Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy have broken up.

Although the couple has denied that the breakup incident is untrue, rumors of the split began circulating on the Internet and social media and has not died down since.

However, according to a recent report by Soompi, an industry insider said that both Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy are aware of the breakup rumors and have decided to ignore that which is not true.

“The two know about the suspicions that they have broken up. But they are just laughing it off,” said an anonymous source to Soompi.

Nonetheless, when Lee Min-ho celebrated his birthday in June, there was no reference to Suzy being a part of his celebrations nor was there any public social media post from Bae Suzy wishing Lee Min Ho on his big day. Although this in no way proves that the couple has split, fans are speculating that all is not well with this celebrity couple.

Fortunately, according to a report by Soompi, Lee Min Ho and Bae Suzy’s agencies on Monday released a statement that the actors are still dating and very much a couple.

Both actors have been doing extremely well in their careers. While Lee Min-ho’s recent movie Bounty Hunters is a big hit, Bae Suzy’s new K-drama Uncontrollably Fond has been grabbing decent ratings.

The coming year is crucial for this celebrity couple as Lee Min-ho intends to join the mandatory military duty, during which he will be away from the industry for at least two years. It remains to be seen if Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy will announce something big soon — such as a marriage proposal—before heading to the military. Lee Min-ho does seem like a man who is interested in marriage.

Last year, in an interview with TV Sohu, Lee Min-ho spoke about his love life. He said that as he matures, he has begun to realize what it really takes to be a man. When asked about his relationship with Bae Suzy, Lee Min Ho said that he hopes to get married so that he can protect her.

When asked about Bae Suzy’s attraction to Lee Min-ho, she said, “He is a deeply caring and warm person, so my interest in him grew.”

During last year’s broadcast of tvN’s Name List 2015, a report revealed that Lee Min Ho was the first to express his interest in Bae Suzy. In Name List 2015, Lee Min Ho and Suzy‘s relationship ranked at number 5. Lee Min Ho’s representative told the show that the actor admitted he was smitten by Bae Suzy in February last year.

“Looking at Lee Min-ho’s personality, we are aware that he thought about it a lot before professing his feelings. He was worried that it would burden Suzy, but he said that he couldn’t hold his feelings in any longer,” Lee Min-ho’s representative said.

The love affair between Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy came to light when media outlet Dispatch spotted the beautiful singer attending the VIP showing of Gangnam Blues.

According to Soompi, Lee Min-ho’s agency, MYM Entertainment, revealed details about the actor’s enlistment and said, “Lee Min-ho will serve as a public service officer regardless of when he decides to begin his military service. We are looking at early next year.”

Only time will tell if Lee Min-ho and Bae Suzy will take their relationship to the next level.
