Serena Williams Admits Boyfriend Alexis Ohanian Did Nothing Super Romantic
Serena Williams has everything she could have ever wished for. She is on top of her game, just won Wimbledon championship — marking an all-time high in terms of career wins — in great shape for Olympics, and only 34. And yet, she admitted in the recent interview that her boyfriend, Alexis Ohanian, has not done anything super, super romantic for her.
During the 73 questions session with Vogue to promote her appearance in the September issue, the world No. 1 hinted that her boyfriend has not blown out of the water in terms of romantic gestures.
When the interviewer asked what the most romantic thing that a guy has ever done for her, she promptly responded, “[I]t hasn’t happened yet.”
Alexis Ohanian better step it up if he still wants to be with the greatest tennis player in history!
But when it came to naming her favorite app, Serena didn’t hesitate to answer that it was Reddit, which her boyfriend invented. That was sweet of her to give a little shout-out to his business!

Serena is gearing up for the most important tournament in her life — the Rio Olympics! The first game is set to start on August 6, just a day after the opening ceremony. Just under a week to go, Serena is keeping her nerves and expectations in check as she preps for the matches.
She has not been feeling very well after her final game, so she had to pull out of Rogers Cup this year to heal her inflamed shoulder.
“Due to inflammation in my shoulder, I unfortunately must withdraw from the Rogers Cup,” Williams said in a statement, according to USA Today. “I was looking forward to competing in Montreal and I look forward to returning soon.”
Alexis Ohanian has stepped up to help her this time, choosing to be by her side as she gears up for Rio. Check out a picture of a tennis court he uploaded on Instagram!
When Serena won her 22nd title at this year’s Wimbledon, Alexis was so proud that he posted multiple pictures of her and even pinned the tweet to the top so that his followers know that he is infinitely happy for his girlfriend.
After her historic win in England and now gearing up for Olympics, it looks like the world number one is ready to get more public with Reddit founder.
“They’ve been keeping their romance under wraps, but Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian are going strong,” reports Page Six. “We’re told the private tennis star took her techie beau along to a Web video shoot in Florida over the weekend.”

He has been a big help in her getting over her depressed state to come back to snag her 22nd win. Before things got too serious with him, Billie Jean King commented in the New York Times article just how “depressed” she looked.
“When I saw her before Wimbledon, I knew she was going to do better because I knew she wasn’t as depressed,” he said. “You can just tell she hasn’t been happy off the court or on, just not right.”
But thing started to change, and whether or not Alexis Ohanian had any influence, Serena started to view things much more positively. Even after she lost to Garbine Muguruza in the final match at French Open, she talked about her experiences in a much more optimistic light.
“I woke up one day and I just felt different,” she said, according to the Telegraph. “I felt a relief. “I made my mind up that I was not going to worry about anyone or anything – about what people said or didn’t say – that I was just going to worry about tennis.”
