Ashton Irwin Reveals Neck Tattoo Meaning After Bryana Holly Breakup

Ashton Irwin added a tattoo on his neck just a month ago, but he has kept the meaning of it under wraps — until today! The 5SOS drummer explained the reason why he got a new tattoo on the back of his neck in the shape of a flying condor. Maybe he is ready to soar after his breakup with his ex-girlfriend, Bryana Holly.

This isn’t the drummer’s first tattoo, but it is the first one in a long while. The fans have been trying to guess its significance and meaning but have failed to get anywhere.

“Drummer Ashton Irwin has celebrated their success from humble beginnings with a new tattoo laced with symbolism,” reports the Daily Mail. “The 22-year-old got his new ink a month ago, but has only just revealed the meaning behind the black bird with its wings outstretched on the back of his neck.”

He revealed that it represents a personal journey as he continues to make music with 5 Seconds of Summer boys.

“With moving away from Australia and trying to make it overseas in this band, it represents bravery and I’m proud of where I am at the moment and excited about where I’m going,” he said.

He also got this tattoo on his neck just weeks after his breakup with Bryana Holly. They have not been very consistent in their dating, but they were together off and on over the last year or so. During an interview about a month ago, the 5SOS drummer declared that he is free again and showed signs that he is ready to mingle.

“He recently announced that he’s single. And 5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin looked ready to mingle during an outing in Hollywood on Tuesday,” reports the Daily Mail. “The 21-year-old musician stepped out in an all black ensemble while partying at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood with his fellow band mates. Ashton appeared to be in good spirits while sharing laughs with a friend.”

He also has been incredibly busy with his summer tour with the band, traveling all over the United States and performing for his adoring fans. He and the boys have also released a new song for Ghostbusters and have also hinted that they are writing new music from the road.

As for his ex Bryana Holly, she has taken single life in stride, taking on more bikini ads and hanging out with her beautiful modeling friends.

She has also gotten attention for possibly losing weight after the breakup. While the model has always been very trim, some of her fans were shocked by how slender she was in the latest picture she uploaded to Instagram.

But at the same time, she was seen doing a bridal bikini campaign during Miami Swim Week, which got the nosy fans wondering if she still has feelings for Ashton.

“It’s been a month since 5 Seconds Of Summer star Ashton Irwin confirmed his split from glamour model Bryana Holly,” reports the Daily Mail. “And now, the 22-year-old Australian’s former flame hasn’t wasted any time showing him what he’s missing out on. Blonde bombshell Bryana, 24, put on quite the busty display as she strut the runway during Miami Swim Week on Saturday.”

The new tattoo was definitely something that marked this phase in his life. Having broken up with his first girlfriend since he became famous with 5SOS and now doing more tour shows than ever before, Ashton Irwin may be feeling he is about to break into the industry even more.
