‘American Horror Story’ Season 6 Spoilers: Teaser Trailers Reveal New Theme?
American Horror Story Season 6 premieres next month, but fans still don’t know what the theme of the show will be. While new teasers are giving away multiple clues to the plot, nothing has been confirmed.
According to Entertainment Weekly, a several cryptic new teaser trailers have been released, and American Horror Story fans aren’t sure what to make of them.
In the newly released videos, one thing is for certain: Fans can expect yet another creepy and scary season. One teaser features Lady Gaga, who made her debut on the series during last season’s Hotel. Gaga stole the show and even won a Golden Globe for her portrayal as the Countess. In the video, Gaga is seen with a millipede running down the center of her face.
Another American Horror Story teaser shows someone stapling a question mark and the number six into a person’s skull. Both the question mark and the six have been prominent while promoting Season 6 of the show.
The third teaser features a scene with a baby carriage and scary mobile hanging above, which includes a knife. A creepy looking hand, complete with claws, reaches up and takes the knife.
Another American Horror Story teaser trailer for Season 6 gives viewers a glimpse at what appears to be a family walking through the desert. They are only shadows but for their glowing eyes.
A more subtle hint comes in the next teaser, which is that of a big house in the middle of a field. The smoke from the house’s chimney rises up to make the number six and a question mark.
The final video, which is titled “Descent,” includes a person running and screaming down a flight of stairs. Scary looking hands reach out from behind the stairs and finally one grab the person’s foot.
What do all these American Horror Story teasers mean? It doesn’t seem that fans are going to be getting any confirmation until the show actually starts. It appears that Ryan Murphy and his crew are having some fun keeping their secret and letting fans sweat it out while they try to figure out the show’s theme for Season 6.
However, many fans believe that children will be a very prominent part of Season 6. Earlier this year, the show’s creator Ryan Murphy revealed at PaleyFest that he’s intrigued by the use of children in horror, and that got fans wondering if the new season of the series could possibly have an Antichrist theme.
However, the website PopWrapped is reporting that they can exclusively reveal that the theme for American Horror Story Season 6 will be Forest.
“PopWrapped can exclusively reveal that the American Horror Story Season Six theme will be: FOREST. We are told that it is a cross between Peter Pan, Deliverance and The Exorcist. There will be a ‘very scary’ farmhouse involved, and the story-lines for the upcoming season are “far more sinister and scary” than previous seasons. Our sources went on to say ‘FX is definitely going back to their Horror roots.’ We have also confirmed that there is a ‘cultish’ and ‘terrifyingly childish’ feel to this season.”
The website also reveals that the cast will include favorites such as Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Lady Gaga. Additionally, Chaz Bono will also be appearing in Season 6.
Of course, none of this information has been confirmed by any other sources, but fans are having fun speculating on the new information and what it could mean for the show.
