Luke Pell Ready To Be The Next ‘Bachelor’ Star? Can He Get Over JoJo Fletcher To Find Love Next Season?
The Bachelorette is winding down, and fans are already weighing in on who they think should be the next star of The Bachelor.
For now, the two leading choices for the spot are Luke Pell and Chase McNary. Which one will star in the next season of The Bachelor?
According to People, most fans are leaning towards Pell. The only question is whether or not the war veteran can get over his love for JoJo Fletcher. Pell made it to Fletcher’s final four suitors before being eliminated prior to the Fantasy Suites round.
During The Bachelorette: Men Tell All episode, Pell admitted that he still harbors feelings for Fletcher even though she dumped him.
“I was absolutely in love with her and I still love her,” Pell shared.
Naturally, fans were quick to respond to Pell’s heartfelt moment and reached a consensus that he should become the next Bachelor star.
“Luke was the most genuine dude. So bummed he wasn’t picked,” Jessie James Decker wrote on Twitter. “He’s a non-cheater you can tell! And just a down-home guy.”
“Luke is an intelligent, sensitive, veteran/cowboy who left #TheBachelorette brokenhearted, a.k.a. #TheBachelor bait,” another fan added on Twitter.
As fans will recall, Pell was rejected after he failed to tell Fletcher how felt about her until it was too late. According to the Daily Mail, Pell knew his fate was sealed once he saw Fletcher’s reaction.
“That was the not the best moment to say that, and I knew that. And I knew by the look in her eyes [that something was off],” he shared. “That was the first time she looked at me that way versus any other day. It was something that I should’ve been more direct about, and I didn’t embrace how quickly the process happens.”
The future star of The Bachelor has not been announced, so it’s anyone’s guess if Pell will be selected for the job. While Pell has a good shot at the spot, he has tough competition with McNary and whoever the runner-up is.
According to E! Online, McNary recently opened up about his chances of becoming the next Bachelor.
“It’s just a heavy situation,” McNary admitted. “It’s just one step at a time for me. Nothing’s been out there, no opportunity’s been offered, so I’m just doing me.”
For Pell, he sounded a lot more prepared to star in a reality show and find love once again.
“The process worked for me,” he stated. “JoJo kind of allowed me to love again, it was something I hadn’t done in a while prior to our relationship. I’m at a place now where I’m excited to be in love again. I think if that comes up and that’s in the future for me, I couldn’t be more excited to find it.”
That being said, Hollywood Life is reporting that McNary is currently in talks about starring on The Bachelor. Does this mean ABC will pick him over Pell?
For now, it’s too early to tell who will be the next Bachelor. After all, Fletcher still has one more suitor to eliminate, and both Jordan Rodgers and Robby Hayes would be ideal fits for the job.
As far as Fletcher is concerned, she couldn’t reveal whether or not she’s engaged to her final suitor. However, the reality star did confirm that things ended in a good place after the Bachelorette finale.
“My lips are kind of sealed right now, but I can tell you that I am really happy,” Fletcher explained. “I’m really happy.”
The season finale of The Bachelorette is set to air Monday night on ABC.
