‘Sister Wives’: Maddie Brown Shares If She’s Pregnant

If you thought TLC’s Sister Wives was going to take the same route as its sister show Counting On, it is time to think again. While the Duggar children from Counting On make it their goal in life to have children as soon as possible and grow their families, Sister Wives‘ Maddie Brown is not of the same mindset. Maddie, Janelle, and Kody Brown’s oldest daughter took to Twitter Monday to let the world know that she is not pregnant, and she was not too happy about having to make the statement.

Maddie married her husband, Caleb Brush, just over a month ago, and people are already asking the couple if they are pregnant or if they are trying to get pregnant. Maddie finally had enough this week and used social media to let everyone asking know that she wasn’t pregnant and it was probably time to stop asking. It seems the constant questioning has led Maddie to feel like she is fat and that is why everyone continues to ask if she is pregnant. If those asking would take a quick second to calculate the math, they might realize she wouldn’t be showing not even eight weeks after the wedding took place.

Maddie has actually slimmed down quite a bit over the last few seasons of Sister Wives, so it is surprising to hear that someone would even question if she was pregnant. Do you think this photo could be the cause of the questions? Admittedly, Maddie does have a very small belly in this photo, but she is a far cry from being fat. It almost seems as if people are jumping to conclusions simply because they want Maddie to be pregnant, but are forgetting how their comments might make Maddie feel.

Maddie and Caleb have already had to deal with people not taking the time to think things through when it was first announced that they were engaged. Because Caleb is indirectly related to Maddie’s dad, Kody, many started posting on social media that she was marrying a relative. Caleb is Kody’s sister-in-law’s brother. He has absolutely no blood relation to Maddie or Kody. This knowledge did not stop gossip magazines like In Touch Weekly from sharing articles titled “Sister Wives Incest Scandal” though, only fueling the fire for the rumors.

Maddie shared with People exactly how Caleb proposed.

“It was cold and we were huddled in jackets and I thought he was crazy to stop. He said to come look over here. So I walked with him to the edge. He told me he could never express how much he loved me, but he wanted to spend his life trying, and went down in one knee and pulled out a box. I started kissing him and saying, ‘Yes, yes!'”

Maddie and Caleb will also not be following in the footsteps of Maddie’s parents, Kody, Janelle, Meri, Christine, and Robyn. Caleb shared with People that he and Maddie would not have a polygamist marriage.

“We are not living plural marriage. We support Maddie’s family with their choice of living plural marriage and they support us with our choice in just marrying each other.”
