Susan Sarandon, best known for her roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Thelma and Louise, was caught looking absolutely miserable by video journalist Ian McKenna at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). McKenna, who formerly worked for CNN, tweeted a GIF of the actress with the look on her face of disgust, writing, “Susan Sarandon is having literally the worst time at the #DemConvention.”

In under an hour, Sarandon herself saw the GIF and retweeted it, adding, “Accurate,” with hashtags of her own.

Sarandon, a fervent Bernie Sanders supporter, obviously disagreed with his endorsement speech for Hillary Clinton, who’s more than likely to clinch the Democratic nomination for the 2016 presidential election. Sarandon was seen shaking her head in disagreement while she listened to Sanders’ speech.
Sarandon has criticized Clinton on several times and has gone as far as calling Clinton more “dangerous” than Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Sarandon isn’t ready to give up on Sanders. Sarandon says his supporters are “all still here, we’re all committed,” according to People.
“Bernie has ignited this spark and we’re not letting that go, and for anyone that thought this was a cult of personality, you’re wrong. When we said it was a movement and not a moment, we meant it.”
After WikiLeaks published thousands of hacked DNC emails, Sarandon told Jordan Chariton of The Young Turks it was “disgusting” that staffers were allegedly working to sabotage Sanders’ candidacy but also said that it wasn’t a surprise.
“The critical question is, does it matter? Nixon resigned when they broke into the [DNC] headquarters… and now you found out all this tampering went on… and I think we really have to ask what’s happened to us in terms of what we’re willing to sacrifice to get our person in. What does this really say about us if all of this goes by unattended?”
Decider reports in April during an interview with Bill Maher, Sarandon skirted the question as to whether she would vote for Clinton if Clinton became the Democratic nominee. Maher eventually gave up on Sarandon answering the question. At the DNC, Susan said she isn’t yet “sold” on what Clinton is offering, and that other Bernie supporters who have switched their support to Trump rather than Clinton might be feeling the same way.
“A lot of people felt disenfranchised, a lot of people are working so hard and getting nowhere, a lot of people are sick with politics, the way it is, and Bernie and Trump spoke to those people.”

Many people on Twitter warn Sarandon’s refusal to support Clinton is support for Republican Donald Trump.
@TalkNerdyToMe72 Would you rather Trump wins if you can’t have Bernie? No? Then vote Hillary. A Bernie write in is a vote 4 Trump. @bspence5

During the DNC yesterday, Sarah Silverman gave a speech alongside Senator and Saturday Night Live alum Al Franken. Silverman was a Sanders supporter, but tried to bring the Democratic Party together with her speech. However, some Bernie supporters booed and chanted, “Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!”
Silverman told the supporters, “To the ‘Bernie or Bust’ crowd, you’re being ridiculous.”
McKenna told Buzzfeed he made the GIF of Sarandon using the live stream from CNN. He was watching the live stream to edit video for his team at Now This News. McKenna said he wasn’t sure exactly why Sarandon seemed so unhappy, but that she might have been shaking her head at “just the general atmosphere or the idea of Hillary being president.”
What do you think of the GIF of Susan Sarandon? Should she switch her support over to Hillary Clinton?
