WWE Raw took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Monday night at the Consol Energy Center. It was the first Raw show after the official brand split. WWE fans were finally able to see the end result of the WWE Draft. One draft even that most WWE fans thought was very uneven in the odds of Monday Night Raw. Well, if Monday night in Pittsburgh was any indication, Smackdown Live will have a lot to do to even come close to what the red brand produced last night.

To begin, the entire Raw roster came out as Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon announced the two fatal-4 way matches that would determine the main event of WWE Raw. The winner of that main event got a shot at the WWE Universal championship at SummerSlam against Seth Rollins. Finn Balor’s debut was the highlight in the beginning as he won the first fatal-4 way match. Needless to say, WWE Raw already started off better than they could’ve expected.

Later on in the night, Balor would compete against Roman Reigns in the main event. 99-percent of WWE fans didn’t give the former-NXT champion a chance against the 3-time WWE champion. There were theories of the Club helping Balor win the match, but costing him it in the end. Even fans thought Balor would lose by DQ. However, none of those happened, and Balor would go on to win. As a result, Balor is set to face Rollins at SummerSlam.

It’s easy to say Balor and Sasha Banks’ triumph started the new era of WWE Raw in a big way. Speaking of Banks, the former-NXT Women’s champion got her title opportunity early. Many WWE fans believed it wouldn’t happen until SummerSlam. However, WWE officials wanted it to happen on WWE Raw. Sasha Banks won the Women’s championship for the first time, and the crowd loved it. Apparently, WWE officials loved it, as well.

As a prior report by the Inquisitr stated, it is now “The Boss Era.” The question remains, where will Sasha Banks and the WWE Women’s championship go from here? Charlotte will clearly get her rematch for the championship. More than likely, that match will take place at SummerSlam. If the WWE wants Banks to have a legitimate title reign, it will continue into August and on from there.

Bayley isn’t set to come up to the main roster until after NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II. She wants a rematch for the NXT Women’s title against Asuka. Despite her surprise appearance at WWE Battleground, she even said after the fact it was a one-time thing. Any title fight between Banks and Bayley will have to wait until the program with Charlotte is over.

Sasha Banks helped WWE Rawenter a new era in a great position. The Women’s Division is also doing very well. At this moment, since Smackdown Livedoesn’t have a women’s champion, but the ladies from that brand might be permitted to cross-promote and fight for one title.

Becky Lynch, Carmella, and Alexa Bliss are ready for a fresh start on the main roster. The only direction the WWE Women’s Division can go is up. Banks is going to lead the charge, with Charlotte and others firmly behind her. It truly is a women’s revolution in pro wrestling.
