‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7: Andrew Lincoln Says There Is No Way Out [Spoilers]
Warning: The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers are ahead.
The Walking Dead Season 7 trailer gave fans a hint of what is coming. Not only did viewers get a glimpse of Negan, but there were also other scenes and new characters. Over the past few days, the cast have been busy talking about what to expect. Andrew Lincoln said that there is no way out, and the other TWD actors also had some things to say.
Yesterday, AMC aired a special five-minute look back at The Walking Dead. It contained scenes from the last season, such as when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) lined Rick’s group up. When talking about the Season 6 finale and what lies ahead in Season 7, Andrew Lincoln hinted that there is no saving Negan’s intended victim.
TWD fans that have read the comics know this is a fact. It isn’t like Terminus, where Carol (Melissa McBride) can come charging in and save everyone. This time, nobody is going to be rescued. Nobody is going to be spared. Nobody is going to be able to reason with Negan or convince him not to kill one of the characters with his baseball bat, Lucille. There is nothing Rick or anyone else can do to get out of the situation they are in. So what happens now?
Danai Gurira, the actress portraying Michonne on The Walking Dead said the game has changed. She wouldn’t give specific details, but things are never going to be the same. Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Greene, stated that things could not get any worse.
What else is known about Season 7 of The Walking Dead? As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Ezekiel and Shiva will make their big introductions. Comic book readers are excited about this duo, especially after watching the TWD trailer. For those that are unfamiliar with Ezekiel, he is the leader of a community called The Kingdom. He has a pet tiger, Shiva, that is loyal to him and is protective. The tiger is immune to the zombie virus but is not immortal. Ezekiel used to be a zookeeper and has known Shiva for a long time.
Other TWD spoilers for Season 7 include Negan sticking around for a while. When Alexandria, the Hilltop Colony, and The Kingdom battle Negan and the Saviors, he won’t be killed. Instead, he is apprehended. He does manage to escape but is later caught. He is put in a cage, which will probably be the jail cell Morgan (Lennie James) was building last season. However, Negan spends his days tormenting and taunting Rick Grimes.

Negan and Ezekiel won’t be the only leaders fans will meet in Season 7. There will be others, both good and bad, according to executive producer Gale Anne Hurd.
“It’s getting more complex. We’re going to find more people we haven’t met before, living in the apocalypse and figuring out how to survive. Our characters will be meeting both friend and foe, Gale Anne Hurd said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re gonna see leaders with different styles, and how they work… some benevolent, and some not so benevolent.”
The one question that fans have been asking for months was not answered at Comic-Con. That is who did Negan kill in The Walking Dead? Viewers will not find out until the show returns to AMC this fall. However, there are rumors that Negan kills two characters, Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun). Fans will just have to wait to find out if their theories are correct or not.
