Hayden Panettiere Handles Engagement Ring, Baby Kaya, And Pet Dog Drama
Hayden Panettiere had a busy summer dealing with all the drama that comes with being famous. Not only did she have to face drama when she emerged in New York without her engagement ring, but she is also now dealing with a lawsuit concerning her dog sitter. No moment of peace for the Nashville star!
“Hayden Panettiere is fighting back against a dog sitter who’s seeking money from the actress even though the woman gave away her dogs,” reports Page Six. “Tia Brooks recently filed a lawsuit against the Nashville star, 26, seeking $8,500 in unpaid services.”
The story goes that the 26-year-old actress “rescued the two dogs, Zander and Xena, six years ago, and had agreed to pay Brooks $30 a day until she could find a permanent home for the pooches.”
The drama is that the dog sitter is continuing to ask for money even after the dogs were given away.
If this was the only drama that Hayden had to face, that wouldn’t be such a big deal. But the actress has been recently under the public’s glare for not wearing her engagement ring in New York.
She was supposedly in rehab seeking treatment for her postpartum depression so it was a surprise to her fans when she appeared in the city alone and without her engagement ring.
“Hayden Panettiere was spotted in NYC on Monday, July 4, almost two months after she went to rehab to seek treatment a second time for postpartum depression,” reports Us Weekly. “The Nashville actress, 26, who has a daughter, Kaya, 19 months, with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, was seen sitting on a stoop, smoking a cigarette and reading the book Underboss: Sammy The Bull Gravano’s Story of Life in the Mafia. Panettiere was dressed in a plaid shirt, blue tights and Uggs, but was not wearing her engagement ring.”
Soon, rumors about her relationship with Wladimir Klitschko began to circulate, claiming that they were on the rocks. To quell these vicious rumors, the actress had to post a family picture on her Twitter account, showing that they were stronger than ever.

Some of her fans noted how she did not gush about the love she has for her family. She also didn’t say that she will continue to wear her engagement ring.
Another bit of drama that Hayden had to face after giving birth to her first child, Kaya, was that she suffered from postpartum depression that limited her engagement with the TV show Nashville. The producers decided to write the mental condition into the character that the actress was playing to explain why she was missing from the show. The critics eventually lauded the producers’ choice to address a very common condition on network TV, making the issue a less taboo subject in Hollywood.
Even though the 26-year-old actress took time off to receive treatment, it seemed that was not enough. She returned for additional treatment earlier this summer, showing her fans that she values her mental health over her career.
“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” she wrote on her Twitter. “Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”
Since then, she has increased posts about her family on Twitter so that the fans know she still prioritizes her budding family over almost anything else.
She even posted a picture starring her two-year-old baby Kaya.
