‘Days Of Our Lives’: Summer Attacks Theresa – Will Jen Lilley’s Character Die This Week On ‘DOOL’? [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans are in for an intense week. NBC released a preview of what to expect from the Salem residents. The video clip reveals that Summer Townsend attacks Theresa Donovan. With the recent news that Jen Lilley is leaving the soap opera, will Theresa die this week?

The past few weeks on Days Of Our Lives have been tough for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan. Someone drugged Theresa’s protein shake and while she was unconscious, kidnapped baby Tate. Everyone is looking for the little boy, including John (Drake Hogestyn), Paul (Christopher Sean), and Steve (Stephen Nichols) of Black Patch.

Last week, there were two suspects. Those were Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Summer Townsend (Marie Wilson). However, neither of them have Tate, and Theresa ruined the one lead they did have by not keeping quiet during a phone call.

It looks like during the week of July 25, Theresa will still believe Summer is somehow involved in Tate’s kidnapping. The preview clip shows Jen Lilley’s character on Days Of Our Lives confronting Summer once again. However, she may have gone too far this time. Summer threatens to kill Theresa, and it looks like she shoves her. What happened to Clark is now happening to Theresa. Her body ends up on the floor, and she falls into unconsciousness. The narrator teases that Theresa may die this week on Days Of Our Lives. Is that a DOOL spoiler, or are viewers being tricked?

According to Soap Opera Spy, in June 2016, it was reported that Jen Lilley’s final air date would not be for six more months. If the report is accurate, then that means Theresa Donovan will still be seen on TV screens until the end of the year. There is also the fact that in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, it was revealed that the story of Tate’s kidnapping runs through August. It is true that Theresa could die before Tate is found, but fans would prefer a happier ending for the girl who tried so hard to turn her life around.

Theresa’s parents, Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly (Patsy Pease), are returning to Salem. There are rumors that they will be coming back for Theresa’s funeral, although her death is just speculation and has not been confirmed. According to Glamour, Shane and Kimberly will return this fall. There are rumors that fans should expect to see them reprise their roles on November 18. This is close to Jen Lilley’s final air date on Days Of Our Lives.

However, their return to Salem may not have to do with a death. Perhaps Brady and Theresa won’t be able to work through the stress of a kidnapping. Maybe Theresa will go back to California, but would Brady allow her to leave with Tate? Maybe Shane and Kimberly are just coming for a visit and Theresa will disappear? The last time Theresa’s parents were in town, right after Tate was found the first time, things did not go over so well.

What else is happening on Days Of Our Lives this week? As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Freddie Smith is reprising his role as Sonny Kiriakis. Look for him on Thursday’s episode. Also, She Knows reported that Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) will come up with a new plan, Eduardo (A Martinez) will get a “chilling message,” and Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry) will show Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) his softer side. Fynn (Alexander Bruszt) will give Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) a kiss, John gets a new lead, Sonny and Paul’s relationship grows, and Steve will begin a new and unexpected career.
