‘RHONY’ Star Jules Wainstein Served With Divorce Papers By Cheating Husband, Was She Fired By Bravo Too?
It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Real Housewives of New York star Jules Wainstein.
Along with dealing with the realities of divorce, reports indicate that Bravo may have booted Wainstein from the reality show. How is Wainstein coping with all the drama?
Enstarz is reporting that Michael Wainstein has officially served Jules with divorce papers. Apparently, Jules and Michael could not agree to a settlement and will fight things out in court.
Jules hired attorney’s Aronson Mayefsky and Sloan to represent her side. The two also served as Bethenny Frankel’s legal counsel in her divorce from Jason Hoppy.
It isn’t clear why Jules and Michael couldn’t work out their divorce terms peaceably, though issues of assets, debts, child support, and custody could all be possible reasons.
The division of assets is likely one of the main reasons why the two can’t settle the divorce quickly. After all, Michael is worth around $25 million, which is significantly higher than Jules’ fortune.
More recently, Michael got into trouble for not paying the servers at his restaurant their appropriate tips, wages, and overtime pay.
“Mr. Wainstein is a successful businessman and like nearly every restaurateur in N.Y., has been involved in litigation claims,” a rep explained.
Jules’ shocking divorce came during her first year on the Real Housewives of New York. Although she and Michael had marital problems in the past, her time on the reality show only drove them further apart.
“They were having issues before [RHONY] but I think pressure from filming clearly put a strain on the marriage,” a source explained. “It brought things to a head.”
Jules Wainstein’s relationship with Michael took a turn for the worse after she called police on him just last month. Jules claimed that Michael threatened her and that she felt unsafe.
Despite the harshness of the last couple of weeks, Jules is taking the divorce in stride and concentrating on her future.
“I’m trusting and open, but I’m also strong and practical,” she explained. “This isn’t the end of the world, it’s just a big bump in the road, but I’ll get over it, and I’ll be stronger for it.”
Jules’ RHONY co-stars have also spoken out about her surprising divorce. In fact, Jules’ good friend, Ramona Singer, expressed her own sadness with how things turned out.
“I’m very saddened for Jules. I know her heart’s broken,” Singer stated. “I think Jules was totally shocked by what happened and was very disappointed, and it’s sad. It’s just very sad. It’s never easy when there are problems in a marriage, especially when you realize you need to divorce and I’m there for her.”
Singer also revealed that Wainstein is doing better and plans on being there whenever she needs her.
Of course, the divorce drama might change everything, including Wainstein’s future on the show.
Until more information is released, fans can at least watch more of Jules in action when new episodes of the Real Housewives of New York airs Wednesday nights on Bravo.
