‘Days Of Our Lives’: Freddie Smith Returns, What To Expect From Sonny Kiriakis [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans were disappointed when Freddie Smith left the NBC soap opera. He is returning, and viewers wonder what will happen with his character, Sonny Kiriakis. What does the future hold for Sonny and how will he handle what Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry) has done to the family?

The last time fans saw Sonny, he was given an offer to manage one of Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) clubs overseas. It was a great opportunity and also gave Sonny the chance to escape Salem and his troubles for a while. However, there was a reason why Smith had to take a leave of absence from the soap opera.

On October 7, 2014, Freddie Smith was intoxicated when driving, WKYC reported. He ended up in a car accident and his girlfriend, Alyssa Tabit, was seriously injured. Instead of jail time, the Days Of Our Lives actor was given community service, his license was suspended, and he had to attend alcohol education classes. He also had to visit several high schools and talk about the dangers of drinking and driving. However, if he broke any laws, he would have to serve 12 months in jail. Thankfully, Smith has taken the accident and charges seriously.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Freddie Smith is finally returning, and there are more details to report. The big day is coming up next week, so viewers won’t have too much longer to wait. What can be expected from the Days Of Our Lives character?

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Sonny Kiriakis will confront Deimos. It wasn’t revealed what Sonny will say, but the fact that Deimos has hurt Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), took the Kiriakis mansion and has all of Victor’s money will not sit well with Smith’s character. The actor also said that he will be back at Days Of Our Lives for a while, so this isn’t a temporary comeback.

Besides the return of Sonny Kiriakis, what else is happening on Days Of Our Lives next week? DOOL spoilers for the week of July 25 reveal that Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) will come up with a new plan. This has to be regarding Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). What is he planning this time and does it involve Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) or Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis)?

Also, Eduardo (A Martinez) will get a “chilling message,” and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) sees that Deimos has a softer side. Will this be what makes Nicole give him a second chance, even though he really doesn’t deserve it?

Days Of Our Lives fans should expect Fynn (Alexander Bruszt) grabbing Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) for a kiss, She Knows reported. There are rumors that Steve (Stephen Nichols) will catch them in the act, which will either break his heart or send him into a rage.

On Thursday, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will get a lead on who kidnapped Tate. Will Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan’s (Jen Lilley) baby finally be found? According to Soap Central, don’t count on it. It was revealed that Tate’s kidnapping story will go through July and August, making it one of the hot plots of Days Of Our Lives this summer.

What else is happening in Salem next week? On Friday’s episode of Days Of Our Lives, Steve will begin a new and unexpected career. What could it possibly be and is it a result of finding Fynn and Kayla kissing? Fans will have to wait to find out.
