Amber Heard Rumored To Be Dating Elon Musk After Depp Split
A Page Six source suggests that Amber Heard may be working through her divorce with Johnny Depp by crying on the shoulder of Elon Musk.
Amber Heard and Elon Musk checked into rooms at the Delano South Beach earlier this week. Heard, who is visiting on business with her sister, checked into a standard suite. Meanwhile, the Tesla billionaire rented a duplex-bungalow overlooking the pool.
They may have separate rooms, but both Amber Heard and Elon Musk were spotted entering and leaving the same room, according to the Page Six source. These sightings led to questions about whether the pair has found solace in each other’s company.
Sources close to both parties said that Musk allowed Heard to use his room, but both sides insist they are only friends.
Another source told reporters at the New York Post that Heard and Musk met four years ago and have fostered a friendship since. The source claiming to know Heard said that Musk offered the Heard sisters his bungalow for extra privacy since he would not be in the room anyway.
The bungalows, such as the one rented by Musk, offer more privacy inside and come with super fast internet connections using a VPN to hide their network. This may have been attractive to tech savvy Musk. But, the hotel only has one pool. Thus, the guests staying here often attract the most attention when they leave.
Heard’s need for extra privacy was likely due to her recent filing for divorce from actor Johnny Depp. Heard, who filed on May 23, cited irreconcilable differences upon filing. Allegations of domestic abuse surfaced in the days following the filing.
Elon Musk is also recently single again after a split from actress Talulah Riley. Musk first filed for divorce at the end of 2014 but withdrew the petition in 2015. In March of 2016, Riley filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. A statement suggests that the pair parted amicably, and they intend to remain on good terms.
Musk and Riley married for the first time in 2010. They divorced for the first time in 2012, and the divorce was finalized. But, the pair decided to get remarried 18 months after the papers were signed.
While Musk and Riley intend to remain close, Heard and her future ex-husband, Johnny Depp, have been on the brink of war for several months.
A friend of Depp’s, Doug Stanhope wrote a column for the Wrap saying that Heard told Depp that she would lie about their relationships if he did not agree to the terms of the divorce.
Terry Gilliam also tweeted in support of Depp.
Heard’s camp maintains that these statements are last-ditch attempts by Depp to save his career. Depp continues to deny the allegations of verbal and physical abuse made by his estranged wife. Depp’s attorneys suggest Heard is trying to secure a “premature financial resolution.”
Heard and Musk allegedly met four years ago. In 2013, Heard starred in Machete Kills. Musk made a cameo the film as himself.
The pair may have simply booked the same hotel in Miami by mistake or by happy coincidence. However, no one is denying that there is some type of relationship between the soon-to-be-divorced duo.
