‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Teaser Trailer: ‘TWD’ Cast In Tears [Watch]
Warning: The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers are ahead.
The cast of The Walking Dead is currently at the 2016 Comic-Con in San Diego. Tomorrow, the official trailer for Season 7 will be released. To get fans ready and to build excitement, a teaser trailer was released just a few hours ago. Based on what can be seen in the video clip, everyone in Rick’s group knows they are in trouble. A few cast members can even be seen crying.
The TWD clip doesn’t reveal much and certainly doesn’t tell fans who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed. However, there is one thing that is noticeable and that is Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) are in the trailer. This is interesting because as the Inquisitr reported, there are clues that both Glenn and Abraham die in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere.
Basically, the TWD teaser clip is similar to The Walking Dead Season 7 posters that were unveiled on the show’s official Instagram account yesterday. They are all being threatened by Negan’s barbed wire baseball bat, Lucille. It seems that Negan is taking his time deciding who to kill.

The TWD video clip is short, but does show just how dire the circumstances are. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) has a serious look on his face and his son, Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) seems to be handling the situation quite well. Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Greene) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) have tears rolling down their face.
Maggie (Lauren Cohan) looks the most emotional, but fans need to remember she is also in serious pain. As viewers recall from the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, Maggie was being rushed to the Hilltop Colony. There is a doctor there and she needed help for her stomach cramps and high fever. Some thought she was having a miscarriage, but a fever usually means the body is fighting some sort of infection. Some theories were food poisoning or some sort of illness, even though she seemed okay before she ate the pickles.

In The Walking Dead comic books, Negan kills Glenn. It is not a simple whack to the head, either. The murder is bloody, brutal, vicious, and is done without remorse. Negan thinks he is justified and that Rick’s group needs to be taught a lesson. It isn’t just about vengeance, though. He is using this opportunity to get what he wants from yet another survivors group. There are some who don’t think Negan’s victim really matters in the long run.
“I feel like Rick is getting off pretty easy,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan told The Hollywood Reporter in April. “Negan has a lot of story to come. It’s going to be an interesting road.”
Andrew Lincoln added after The Walking Dead Season 6 finale that it is “Negan’s land now.”
For those wondering why Negan named his baseball bat Lucille, there is a theory regarding that. MoviePilot speculated that Lucille may have been the name of Negan’s late wife, who died from cancer right as the zombie apocalypse hit. Even though he wasn’t a great husband and had an affair on top of it, it was clear in the comics that he loved her. Perhaps TWD fans will find out more when the new season begins airing. Not only do viewers want to know why Negan calls his bat Lucille, but would appreciate a bit of a backstory as well.
