Inside Blake Shelton And Gavin Rossdale’s Face-To-Face Meeting, Can Gwen Stefani’s Men Make Nice?

To say Gavin Rossdale and Blake Shelton don’t get along is a huge understatement.

Not only does Rossdale dislike Shelton for dating his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani, but he also isn’t happy with the country star’s strong bond with his three children, Zuma, Kingston, and Apollo. Rossdale even threatened to take Stefani to court over their custody arrangement.

To ease the situation, OK Magazine is reporting that Shelton wants to sit down with Rossdale and discuss their differences.

“Blake wants Gavin to know that he’s serious about Gwen and the kids but has no intention of replacing him as their dad,” a source told the outlet. “He thinks the best way to hash it out is over a couple of beers.”

Apparently, Stefani thinks the chat is a great idea. The only thing she’s worried about is Rossdale agreeing to talk to Shelton about her boys.

“[Stefani is] touched that Blake wants to make such a commitment to her and the boys,” the source continued. “She still hasn’t forgiven Gavin for destroying their family. But she wants to keep her focus on healthy co-parenting.”

Rossdale and Stefani were married for a number of years before announcing their divorce this past summer. A few months later, Shelton and Stefani started dating, and their relationship has flourished ever since.

In fact, Shelton has been spending more and more time with Stefani and her kids, including taking them to his ranch in Oklahoma and celebrating holidays together.

In light of Blake Shelton’s escalating romance with Stefani, Rossdale believes that his kids shouldn’t spend time with the country singer without his approval.

“Gavin doesn’t agree with [Stefani] having a relationship with Blake, and he doesn’t like her bringing the kids around him,” a source explained to E! News.

To make matters worse, it appears as though Rossdale wants to work things out with his estranged wife. Unfortunately, the nature of their split did not leave any room for a reconciliation.

“If it were up to Gavin he would want to work it out with Gwen,” the insider continued. “He is still hurt it has turned out this way and now she is in love with another man.”

For his part, Rossdale is not in a relationship with anyone at the moment.

As fans will recall, Stefani filed for divorce after she allegedly caught Rossdale cheating with their children’s nanny, Mindy Mann. The pair quickly reached a settlement which included Stefani retaining her rights to her music.

They also agreed to split legal and physical custody of their children equally.

Although Stefani has never confirmed the reports of the affair, The Hollywood Gossip is reporting that she hinted as much in an interview with the New York Times a few months ago.

“If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock,” Stefani revealed in the interview. “It’s a really good, juicy story.”

At this point, it isn’t clear what will happen between Shelton and Rossdale, even if they hash things over a few beers. Whatever happens, it is clear that Rossdale still wants to be an active part of his children’s feels and feels as though Shelton is encroaching on his territory.

“[Gavin] wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives,” an insider explained.

Neither Stefani nor Shelton have addressed the rumors of a potential meeting with Rossdale or the nature of their custody agreement.

Stefani is currently touring the country on her This Is What the Truth Feels Like tour while Shelton is gearing up for another season of The Voice.
