On last night’s episode of The Bachelorette , JoJo Fletcher traveled to four locations for the hometown dates with her remaining suitors. Each of the men told the leading lady that they were falling for her or in love with her, and it really made things even more complicated. At the end of the night, she had to send one home, but ABC cleverly edited things and no one was eliminated. How will that affect future episodes and the rest of the season schedule?
Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the current season of The Bachelorette in the summer of 2016. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
JoJo appeared to be totally ready to send Luke Pell home last night, and she even said as much in her narration before the rose ceremony. At that point, Luke pulled a shocking move and took her to the side to let her know he had fallen in love with her and that clouded her mind so much that she couldn’t even think.
She began walking around alone and crying and extremely distraught. That was when ABC took charge and slapped a “To Be Continued” caption on the hometown dates episode of The Bachelorette .

Everyone was prepared for someone to get sent home, and then that cliffhanger was thrown into the mix. Now, that is going to alter how things will take place next week on the episode with the overnight dates .
Much like earlier in the season, ABC edited things so that fans would be left on the edge of their seats for the next week. They couldn’t have picked a better time for it to happen again as JoJo Fletcher was trying to figure out which one of the four men she loves would be sent home.
JoJo blogged on PEOPLE about her latest trials and tribulations, and she knows no one will want to miss what happens next.
“I was ready to make this painful, but in my mind, right decision. That is, until Luke pulled me aside. I hate to leave you guys high and dry, but trust me … you’ll want to pick back up where we left off. It’s emotional. It’s shocking. It’s everything.”
Reality Steve first reported the spoilers for this season of The Bachelorette months ago, and he originally had Chase McNary going home after the hometown dates. A short time later, he corrected the spoilers and said it was Luke Pell going home.
Now, some people have doubted the validity of these spoilers and think there could be a problem somewhere. Obviously, ABC is wanting everyone watching at home to think twice about believing totally in spoilers and that is likely why they put the cliffhanger at the end of last night’s episode.

With Monday night’s episode not having an elimination of any kind, there are still three episodes left to go in this season. What happens in them could be changed up here and there as ABC is notorious for doing, but here is the remaining schedule and rose ceremony eliminations .
- July 25, 2016 – Episode 9: Hometown date elimination and Fantasy Suite dates
- July 26, 2016 – Episode 10: “Men Tell All” special
- August 1, 2016 – Episode 11: Season Finale
As always, ABC could switch some things around to try to make the drama even more intense, but all should be a straight shot from here until the big engagement — or two .
Never underestimate the power of ABC as they know exactly what they are doing to help build up the drama and try to make viewers second-guess the spoilers. The Bachelorette results have been known for months and are likely set in stone, but the network is going to do whatever possible to help raise doubt. JoJo Fletcher will send Luke Pell home and move on to the Fantasy Suite overnight dates with Jordan Rodgers , Robby Hayes , and Chase McNary.
