Johnny Depp Sinks Teeth Into Hollywood Vampires For 1st Red Carpet Since Amber Heard Divorce
Johnny Depp has made his first red carpet appearance since the news broke about marriage problems with Amber Heard. Amber filed for divorce from Johnny, then followed up with accusations that he had abused her during their relationship. Heard now has a temporary restraining order while the estranged couple waits for the courtroom legal battle to continue.
For his red carpet debut in the wake of his split from Heard, Depp stood strong with his Hollywood Vampires pals by his side, reported People.
In addition to having the support of his band mates on the red carpet, Johnny headed to the stage to provide the celebrity audience with a performance. The Hollywood Vampires entertained stars such as honoree Jennifer Garner, Buzz Aldrin, and Jay Leno.

Depp shared the special meaning of the Starkey Hearing Foundation and his goals for his future.
“I’ve been lucky enough to play characters like Edward Scissorhands, Captain Jack Sparrow,” pointed out the actor.
“My only sort of goal is of making someday a positive change.”
The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Hollywood Vampires have a long relationship. Band members helped with fitting hearing aids prior to their Portugal “Rock in Rio” festival concert.

“It was an emotional experience, the instant change in a person’s face when they’ve only known silence,” recalled Johnny. “It’s a gift, an incredible moment you never forget.”
To help raise money for the foundation, the band mates auctioned two guitars, which were autographed by Depp and Cooper. One of the guitars was marked by having been “sweated on by Johnny Depp,” revealed Cooper.
Each guitar sold for $60,000, adding to the $9.5 million raised at the star-studded event.

But while Johnny moves on with his life with events such as the Starkey Gala, the divorce drama continues to play out, noted E! News.
The news of problems in their marriage began when Amber filed for divorce from Depp in May. She followed up by filing a domestic violence restraining order against him less than one week after the divorce process began. That restraining order was granted, and photos circulated showing Heard with a bruised face and cut lip.
An insider who is close to the actress revealed that the injuries shown in the photos resulted from an incident last December. Johnny allegedly tried to harm Heard using a pillow.
“[Depp has] been on a downward spiral for a few months [and has] battled with substance abuse for quite some time,” alleged Heard in the restraining order court papers.
Amber had been scheduled to give a deposition last month, but it was delayed. The next step in the proceedings calls for her to testify against her estranged husband in order to achieve her goal of getting a permanent restraining order.
With regard to Heard’s allegations that Depp abused her, he has made no response. However, his spokesperson issued a statement following the divorce filing.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” said the representative. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
And although Johnny did not comment in public about the accusations from his estranged wife, he did take time to have a tattoo altered. Depp’s ink that spelled out Amber’s nickname, Slim, now has been modified to read “Scum,” as the Inquisitr reported.
