Elizabeth Warren Blasts Donald Trump: ‘You Are A Thin-Skinned Bully And Cheating Businessman — The Sham Is Over’
After Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren attacked the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Indiana governor Mike Pence, in a blistering tweetstorm on Saturday, Trump attempted on Sunday to respond to the attacks by accusing Warren of misrepresenting her heritage fraudulently.
Warren had attacked the GOP presidential ticket on Twitter as Trump prepared to announce Pence as his running mate on Saturday, calling Trump and Pence “two small, insecure, weak men,” the Inquisitr reported.
“Donald Trump and Mike Pence are a perfect match: Two small, insecure, weak men…”
Trump finally responded on Sunday.
“If Goofy Elizabeth Warren, a very weak Senator, didn’t lie about her heritage (being Native American) she would be nothing today,” Trump tweeted.
Trump was referring to previous accusations that Warren had promoted her academic career and secured positions at Harvard Law School and the University of Pennsylvania Law School by lying that she has Native American ancestry.
Citing her family’s oral tradition, Warren had reportedly claimed Cherokee and Delaware Indian heritage although she has no documentation to prove it, the Washington Post reports.
But Warren responded to Trump’s accusation that she misrepresented her heritage fraudulently with a series of tweets to back her opinion about who really was the fraud.
“Nasty name-calling and lies about my family aren’t going to shut me up, @realDonaldTrump. Is that really all you’ve got?” Warren responded.
“It might blow your mind that a woman worked hard and earned a good job on her own, @realDonaldTrump, but it’s not the 1800s. It happens,” she continued.
“You want to talk about who’s a fraud, @realDonaldTrump? How about this?” she tweeted.
Warren then posted a series of tweets citing multiple court cases involving allegations of fraud against Trump.

You’re nothing but a thin-skinned bully and a lousy, cheating businessman, @realDonaldTrump. The sham is over.

Warren ended the lenghty tweets with a curt parting shot.
“You’re nothing but a thin-skinned bully and a lousy, cheating businessman, @realDonaldTrump. The sham is over.”
Many readers who commented on the latest round of the ongoing Twitter brawl between Trump and Warren agreed that Warren’s latest attacks overwhelmed the real estate mogul.
Significantly, Trump did not respond to the furious barrage from the Massachusetts senator.
Many also expressed astonishment at the fierceness and precision of Warren’s tweets, saying any average person was bound to be intimidated. Others noted her painstaking effort to back up her attacks by citing previous articles and videos.
In her series of tweets on Saturday, she had described Trump as a man “who calls women fat pigs and bimbos” and attacked Pence, Trump’s vice-presidential pick, known for his hard-line conservative stance on abortion and LGBT rights, saying he was a man “famous for trying to control women’s bodies.”
Pence had signed a controversial law that bars women from seeking abortion even where the baby will be born with severe disability, the New York Times reported.
According to Warren, the “sexism” of the Trump-Pence ticket does not reflect the fringe of the Republican Party, but its mainstream, being “in line with the party platform.”
.@realDonaldTrump & @mike_pence are a perfect match: Two small, insecure, weak men who use hate & fear to divide our country & our people.

Of COURSE @realDonaldTrump – a guy who calls women fat pigs & bimbos – picked a VP who is famous for trying to control women’s bodies.
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) July 16, 2016
What's worse? @realDonaldTrump & @mike_pence’s sexism isn’t some radical fringe of the @GOP. They're in line with the party platform.
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) July 16, 2016
And OF COURSE @realDonaldTrump – a guy who “[doesn’t] feel good” about marriage equality – picked a VP famous for LGBT discrimination.
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) July 16, 2016
Terrifying to think of @mike_pence being a heartbeat from presidency – but the direction @GOP wants to take our country is MORE terrifying.

The Twitter war between Trump and Warren escalated in June when Warren called Trump a “thin-skinned, racist bull,” while speaking at the Democratic Party’s convention at New Hampshire, according to NBC News.
Warren’s comments followed Trump’s attacks against Federal District Judge Gonzalo Curiel.
The real estate mogul had claimed that Judge Curiel could not preside fairly over this Trump University case because he was biased by his “Mexican heritage,” according to the Atlantic.
Trump told the Wall Street Journal that in his view, Judge Curiel, a son of Mexican immigrants from Indiana, was biased because “I’m building a wall; it’s an inherent conflict of interest.”
But experts noted there was no precedent for a judge recusing himself from a case on the grounds of ethnicity, race, gender, faith or sexual orientation.
