‘RHOC’ Star Vicki Gunvalson Still Won’t Admit She Knew Brooks Was Lying About Cancer, Plots To Bring Gretchen Rossi Back For Revenge
Vicki Gunvalson still has a lot of work to do if she wants to repair her relationships on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Gunvalson recently apologized for Brooks Ayers’ cancer scandal last season, but she still refuses to admit that she knew about his lies. Is she plotting revenge?
According to People, Gunvalson tried to make amends with Tamra Judge on the latest installment of RHOC. Their heartfelt conversation happened during Kelly Dodd’s beach party.
“I’m sorry. Will you forgive me?” Gunvalson told Judge. “I went about it the wrong way. I want to be us again.”
Judge seemed open to forgiving Gunvalson at first. Things changed, however, once she asked Gunvalson about her part in the scandal.
“I just find it really hard to believe that you live in the same house with a guy,” Judge replied. “I mean, you would know if somebody had stage 3 cancer like that. Be honest, Vicki.”
In response, Gunvalson denied knowing that Ayers was lying about having cancer.
“I never knew,” she stated. “I wasn’t lying for him. I didn’t know that he was lying to me. My love for Brooks was blind. Maybe I should have known better, but I didn’t. I believed my man that I loved. Period.”
Unfortunately, Judge refused to believe Gunvalson. Instead, she firmly believes that Gunvalson will never admit that she knew about Ayers’ lies.
Even still, Vicki Gunvalson stood by her comments.“This is my truth,” Gunvalson continued. “My truth is that I believed Brooks. I believed Brooks had cancer and I believe all you guys were in on trying to bring him down. And that was hard. Because you didn’t like him.”
According to Jezebel, there is little doubt that Ayers lied about having cancer.
Apart from forging medical records, Ayers lied about having nose cancer to a girlfriend in the past. Not to mention that he allegedly abandoned chemotherapy for a holistic regime of treatment.
Gunvalson was even caught lying about Terry Dubrow administering an IV to Ayers, which never happened. To make matters worse, Gunvalson still believes that Ayers has cancer despite admitting that he lied last season.
“I believe Brooks had cancer!” she told Judge.
If Gunvalson truly believes that Ayers had cancer and is unwilling to admit her complicity in the cancer scandal, then repairing the lost trust with her fellow co-stars is going to be difficult.
However, Radar Online is reporting that Gunvalson is planning on bringing Gretchen Rossi back as an ally. Apparently, Gunvalson wants to use Rossi to get revenge on Judge.
Gunvalson has been spending more time with Rossi in recent weeks. In fact, the pair hung out together over the Fourth of July weekend.
“Vicki and Gretchen had a total blast hanging out and all the girls laughed their butts off,” an insider revealed. “While the ladies were at lunch, Vicki busted out her phone and texted Andy Cohen to tell him to bring back Gretchen and Lizzie Rovsek. After Andy didn’t respond, Vicki called him to tell him that she thought having them both come back would be awesome!”
Bravo has yet to reveal any plans to bring Rossi on the show. Even if Gunvalson doesn’t get her wish, she has become fast friends with Dodd, who could easily become another ally in her war against Judge.
Either way, Gunvalson’s recent activities with Rossi is sure to get on Judge’s nerves. While fans wait to see what becomes of Gunvalson’s feud with Judge, Heather Dubrow revealed that some of the ladies have already forgiven Gunvalson.
“Well, I think it’s interesting who can move on, who can’t move on and how quickly any of that happens,” Dubrow told People. “There are just some very big shifts in relationships and just when you think you know exactly who’s friends and who’s not, it completely changes. You never know.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Monday nights on Bravo.
