Mick Jagger, 72, To Become A Father For Eighth Time With 29-Year-Old Ballerina
Mick Jagger can’t get no satisfaction, at least when it comes to siring children.
Jagger’s spokesman confirmed Friday the reports that his girlfriend, 29-year-old American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, is pregnant with his eight child, the BBC reports.
The Rolling Stones frontman, who turns 73 on July 26, currently has seven children, whose ages range from 17 to 45-years-old. Mick, who now has five grandchildren, also just became a great-grandfather in May 2014 after his granddaughter Assisi, daughter of Jade Jagger, gave birth to a baby girl. Sir Mick sired his other children with Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall, and Luciana Gimenez Morad.

Jagger’s announcement came just two months after fellow Rolling Stones member Ronnie Wood, 68, became a father to twin girls with 38-year-old wife Sally Humphreys.
The couple are reportedly “surprised and happy” after finding out that they are going to have a baby together, according to The Sun.
“This is great news. It will be Mick’s eighth child and nothing fazes him. He’s been incredibly supportive,” a source close to Hamrick informed the newspaper.
“She’s very bright, intelligent, sparky and has her own ideas about how she wants to lead her life. She knows what a great relationship Mick has with all of his children and can’t wait for him to be a dad again,” the source continued. “They are taking the news in their stride.”
Mick Jagger started dating Melanie Hamrick shortly after his partner of 13 years, L’Wren Scott, committed suicide in 2014.
Melanie, born in Williamsburg, Virginia, started getting into ballet at the early age of three. At age 11 she pursued dancing full-time by attending a boarding school in the nation’s capital. She underwent ballet training at Eastern Virginia School of the Performing Arts under the guidance of Sandra Balestracci.
By age 17, she enrolled herself in the American Ballet Theatre where she was trained by teachers Adrienne Dellas, Nikolai Morozov, Mme. Morkovina and Mme. Sizova.
At age 18, Hamrick earned her first dance contract in a Balanchine ballet.
According to the Mirror, Hamrick landed prominent roles with ABT, including — this is going to be a long one — Calliope in Apollo, a Shade and Pas D’Action in La Bayadère, the Fairy Winter in Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, Prayer in Coppélia, an Odalisque in Le Corsaire, a flower girl in Don Quixote, Moyna in Giselle, Caroline in Jardin aux Lilas, Olympia in Lady of the Camellias, the Spanish Dance in Alexei Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker, a Harlot in Romeo and Juliet, the Fairy Candide (Sincerity) in The Sleeping Beauty, a big swan, the pas de trois and the Spanish Dance in Swan Lake, the Prelude and Mazurka in Les Sylphides, Terpsichore in Sylvia and roles in After You, Dark Elegies, Duets, Everything Doesn’t Happen at Once, From Here On Out, Gong and Raymonda Divertissements.
“I had been sheltered in this boarding school for six years, dancing morning until night, and suddenly I was in New York City dancing for ABT,” she told Rolling Stone magazine. “I didn’t even have a debit card. I never even bought milk.”
Melanie wrapped up her eleventh season performing for Swan Lake at the Metropolitan Opera in May 2014. She was linked to Jagger before long. To see her stunning performance, see the video below.
Mick and Melanie reportedly took a vacation in the legendary rocker’s holiday home on the private Caribbean Island of Mustique earlier in January so she could meet his seven children, according to Daily Mail.
The meeting went well, but Melanie’s 67-year-old mother, Anne Hamrick, wasn’t happy about the relationship.
“They’re seeing each other,” she confirmed from her home in America. “I don’t know how it can be.”
It’s not everyday we hear news of a man past 70 siring a child, but it’s not really surprising if the man in question is a legendary rockstar like Mick Jagger. Congratulations to Sir Mick!
